Game Informer 90/100

« I ripped through Observation in one six-hour sitting, propelled forward by the novel blend of challenging puzzles and gripping storytelling. Though at first glance, Observation may appear to be your traditional first-person horror game, I’ve never played anything quite like it. Challenging and unnerving in equal measure, Observation shouldn’t be missed by anyone in search of a mind-bending and unsettling thrill. »

God is a Geek 90/100

« Observation is a fantastic game, bringing gripping science fiction and unique gameplay together for a truly remarkable experience. »

IGN 90/100

« Observation's novel approach to puzzle design and gripping plot combine to create a unique science-fiction experience. »

GameSpew 90/100

« If you’re after an experience like no other, that will challenge your problem-solving skills in logical and believable ways, you absolutely need to play Observation. It’s one of the most compelling and surprising games I’ve played in recent years. Its biggest achievement, though, is that it didn’t make me feel like I was playing a game; it made me feel like I was genuinely assisting a crew member in distress. »

Digitally Downloaded 90/100

« We don't get many games that aspire to be true and honest works of art, but Observation is one. »

CGMagazine 90/100

« Observation is a thought provoking, eerie space drama with dubious computers, failing equipment, and very threatening geometry. Don’t let it get away from you. »

The Digital Fix 90/100

« Observation is an unnerving, beautiful, and captivating space station thriller that will stay with you long after the credits roll. »

Everyeye.it 88/100

« The No Code space odyssey will delight those in the genre and those looking for a playful experience that only a great indie could offer. »

« This is one of the best games I have played in a very long time, I will always come back to this game again and again. »

« It's a freaking NOTHING, gamers. It's not even a game. It's a poorly written, misguided attempt at a sci fi movie in which you, the owner of the game, play a bunch of fixed cameras. Not a free roaming one. No. A fixed camera. And you are told exactly what to do and what to click on. And guess what, you get to click on things, but you can only do that in one specific order, otherwise there's no progression. You know, Space Invaders has more interactivity and agenda than this wannabesohardlike2001butfailsmiserablyatabsolutebasics crap. Also, there's no story in it. There's no characters. There's an emergency situation but you have zero motivation to solve the poorly designed wannabe puzzles (when I write "puzzles" that 9 times out of 10 means clicking at stuff - the equivalent of good old point n clicky pixel hunting). You get to roleplay a personality-deprived AI and you get your orders from an entitled **** who otherwise has no personality either. Whoever came up with this crappy wannabe game should be banned from game dev forever. And this is coming from someone who loves games, movies, books and comic books about space, and a huge 2001 Odyssey, Clarke, NASA fan. So I should be liking this, but no, I see this weak ass **** for what it is, and it is, truly, a weak ass ****. It's like someone's opened the outer hatch and **** out all the oxygen, giving you a big unhealthy **** of void. »

« Start out well. Interesting premise. Gameplay is clunky and gets tedious as others have said. Plot has some interesting moments and twists. Ending gets messy and is not really fulfilling. - 1 point for not working under my old graphics drivers and not telling me why. »

bergcamp1001 6/10

« The game finished before it started. The game mechanics are actually very good, and the story is okay, but it just finished without any answers. »

Giann96 7/10

Faber222 7/10

« Nice idea and a good story even if Interstellar and 2001 SO cut/paste are so evident. »
