Nickelodeon Kart Racers

« Even though Nickelodeon Kart Racers may appear to be another cartoon cash-in, it actually offers solid racing gameplay as well as plenty of fun tracks, power-ups, and customizable karts that the entire family can enjoy together. »
« This budget kart racer fails miserably when it comes to production values and overall presentation, but there's a decent racing game in there that is ideal for younger audiences and, especially, some good family game-time. »
« While Nickelodeon Kart Racers’ provides plenty of content and has smart references that integrate well with some very solid racing, the poor visuals and botched battle mode leave plenty to be desired. If you accept the game for what it is there’s definitely some fun to be had but its shortcomings are jarring enough to require some substantial blinders. »
« Graphically, the game looks quite dated. The music is, well, bad — and the effects, while capturing some of the characters’ uniqueness, is still pretty flat. Likewise in general for the game, while there is some fun to be had, especially in local multiplayer, the overall experience is more underwhelming than not. That makes this game very difficult to recommend to all but the most ardent kart racing or Nickelodeon fans. Even within those camps, who are more apt to overlook flaws with NKR, the experience leaves a lot to be desired. »
« Nickelodeon Kart Racers is a disappointing misstep. It handles fine with some mildly interesting track designs. Sadly, it struggles to really, really lean into the cartoons' individuality. This is a simple ride that won't offer much in the way of challenge and, overall, it lacks some care and attention that could've provided something more compelling. »
« A fun title geared towards younger players. Unfortunately the game is plagued by lazy design which results in ugly menus, power-ups that aren' t thought out very well, lack of an online multiplayer and characters that communicate through text balloons instead of through speech. Nickelodeon Kart Racers isn't a bad game at its core but it is a pile of missed opportunities and lazy choices. A shame, because Spongebob really deserves better than this. »
« No online multiplayer, oddly narrow selection of properties, a lack of characters and imagery from the shows they used along with oddities like no voice work make it hard to recommend, there’s the nugget of a great kart racer in here but it all feels so half-hearted. A real shame. »
« Nothing particularly outstanding about this “fun”-racer, except its lackluster content. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« It’s a blatant ripoff of Mario Kart 7 & 8. The UI is so awful. The racing doesn’t feel fast at all. I feel like I could see the polygons on the characters. Don’t even bother trying this game; you’d just be wasting your time. »
« It's a good game with a tun of flaws if you can look past the repetition and that Mario kart is way better you have a very fun multiplayer game worth the money. »
« A game that tries so hard to be Mario Kart, but trips out of the gate with poor controls and a lacking roster. »
« Realy realy nice and smart game for two players! Its fun to race with spongebob, patrick and the rugrads! »
« This is a good game really but this is my opinion so don't judge me good that GameMILL Entertaiment revived Nickelodeon games »
« It's a fun game. I used to play MK8 a lot with a group of friends and we enjoyed this game as much as Mario Kart. Sadly, 12 characters aren't enough for a game like this. The majority of tracks are fun to play but there are some that can feel repetitive because of the excessive amount of slime. Driving mechanics are good, maybe not as polished as other karting games, but still lets you enjoy the game. I hope that this game could receive DLCs with more characters, this could make the game way better. If you are a fan of karting games or a Nickelodeon fan, you should get this. »
« Nickelodeon Kart Racers Nothing but skins Nickelodeon Kart Racers is a Kart Racing game that can be played solo or with up to 4 players locally, there are solo races as well as team races Here youll be playing as a variety of characters from spongebob, hey Arnold, rugrats, and teenage mutant ninja turtles… As a kart racer its all about grabbing random pick ups, using them offensively and defensively.. drifting, picking up slime to build up a boost and try to come out on top at the end of each race As a 90s kid the idea of such a game obviously excited me, but sadly I was quickly disappointed… Sadly Nickelodeon Kart Racers feels like a mediocre racer with just the skins of characters we all know and love… For starters the roster here is pretty small and disappointing… only 3 characters for each show with one of the turtles taking up the 3rd slot for hey Arnold… but there are no more characters to unlock.. theres actually really nothing to unlock or work towards other that kart upgrades which sortve makes this game feel a bit pointless… Theres a grand prix where you choose your character and try to get the most point possible to get the win at the end… but all that’s here is leveling up and coins… coins go towards buying kart upgrades, and leveling up gives you a victory lap which means bonus coins and the possibility of getting a free upgrade… and youre able to applies these upgrades to every character no matter which show theyre from which is nice.. but at the same time it kills the opportunity of having racers have different stats… This game isn’t awful though… There is plenty of fan service in terms of cameos and nostalgic throwbacks throughout the 24 different tracks and I really love the sonic and all stars racing transformed elements of going land slime and air… but theres just no personality here.. theres no voice work.. only little captions popping up at the bottom of the screen instead of actual taunts… it kind of just makes the game feel flat and it only takes a little less than 2 and a half hours to see all there is to see here… IF it weren’t for the skins of the characters and the name on the box, you would have no clue this wasa nickelodeon game.. it has no character I give Nickelodeon Kart Racers a 5.5/10 »
