NBA Street, sorti le 18 juin 2001, est un jeu de sport développé par NuFX et EA Canada et édité par Square Electronic Arts et EA Sports BIG. Disponible sur PlayStation 2 et Nintendo GameCube, ce titre propose du basket-ball extrême en 3 contre 3 issu des créateurs de SSX, où des mouvements spectaculaires et des combos permettent de remplir un compteur Gamebreaker : un tir de ce type fait progresser le score de l'attaquant tout en enlevant des points à l'adversaire, pouvant renverser une partie. Le joueur peut créer ses propres personnages, débloquer des parquets et équipes, affronter des légendes du streetball et de la NBA, et recruter les joueurs vaincus en mode tournoi, tandis qu'un mode deux joueurs permet de défier un ami. La presse a salué un gameplay addictif et électrisant capable de séduire les joueurs blasés, et Gaming Age a jugé que NBA Street surpassait NBA Jam et NBA Live 2001 sur PS2, tandis que certains joueurs regrettent un manque d'originalité au profit d'une formule déjà connue, d'autres louant au contraire un jeu amusant qui modernise NBA Jam avec l'esprit And1 et des personnages mémorables.
