Myth II: Soulblighter
Sorti le 30 novembre 1998, Myth II: Soulblighter est un jeu de stratégie en temps réel développé et édité par Bungie, disponible sur PC, Mac et Linux. Le titre place le joueur à la tête d'escouades ou d'unités individuelles afin d'accomplir des missions à l'orientation tactique exigeante, dans le cadre de la confrontation épique entre les Forces de la Lumière et celles des Ténèbres. Le jeu affiche un score Metacritic de 88 et une note agrégée de 84,02. Selon les données de complétion, l'histoire principale demande environ neuf heures, tandis qu'une approche complétiste atteint quinze heures. La presse a salué les efforts de Bungie pour améliorer un produit déjà solide, GameSpot relevant que le studio n'a laissé aucune pierre sans remuer, tandis que PC Gameworld a apprécié la variété des scénarios et des paysages, le jeu en ligne gratuit, ainsi qu'une présentation et un récit portés par un antagoniste qualifié de terrifiant. Du côté des joueurs, certains ont regretté la brièveté de ce qu'ils considèrent comme une excellente suite, tout en y revenant occasionnellement, et d'autres ont exprimé le souhait d'un rafraîchissement de la série comparable à Diablo II: Resurrected.
