From makeshift slingshots to high-powered rifles and top hats to police vests, make sure you equip your Mutants for the dangers ahead. A duck with an attitude problem and a boar with anger issues; these aren’t your typical heroes. Get to know Dux, Bormin, Selma, and many other characters each with their own unique personality and deranged perspective on the world and their situation.

« The inelegant blend of serious themes and wacky comedy, and the use of what I feel are dated strategy game aiming mechanics prevent Mutant Year Zero from being truly perfect, but it's still an incredible experience that you can't miss. »
« An unapologetically hardcore, deliciously twisted take on the turn based tactical combat genre. Come for the dry humour and intriguing anarchy, stay for the deep and satisfying mechanics. »
« Mutant Year Zero's clever focus on stealth and pre-combat preparation reward your diligence, its turn-based combat encounters are complex, and they help bolster its all-encompassing post-apocalyptic atmosphere. It is a superb tactical combat campaign that you shouldn't let sneak past. »
« Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is an exceptional take on the tactical RPG and the addition of a stealth system certainly sets it apart from the crowd. Both genres blend together in a way that’s satisfying, challenging and well designed, while an engaging and well-written narrative drives the player forward. The difficulty might be an issue for those new to the genre, but for those seasoned in turn-based tactics, this is an absolute must buy. »
« Based on classic mechanics, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden takes its own way in the genre of turn based tactics, pleasing our eyes and ears with huge graphics, nice music and duckly jokes. »
« The Bearded Ladies has created an impressive game that is able to make use of the XCOM formula and take it to the next level adding some exploration and stealth mechanics. The result is a fun, intelligent and original videogame that exceeds every expectation. »
« Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a charming, fun and well-made game with plenty of humor and excellent gameplay. It's an example of how you can expand on a tried-and-true formula in a way that makes it distinctive and exciting. The only thing that drags it down are some bugs and occasional difficulty spikes that feel more frustrating than fun. If you're a fan of XCOM-style games but want a new approach, you should absolutely try MYZ, which is one of the best surprises of the year. »
« People are so used to specific styles of turn-based strategy that the way Mutant Year Zero approaches things may seem too different, potentially scaring off fans of the genre as well as newcomers. That being said, there is a lot to like between the polish of the game’s world-building, the genuinely unique approach to encounters, and the flexibility of each character’s skills. If you’re not afraid of a little challenge and are looking for a strategy title that oozes charm, then you may want to dip a toe in the Zone with Dux and Bormin. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« nowhere is it near a finished game, full with bugs, lazy textures and graphics and a mid storytelling. Fun and hard (sometimes in a stupid way) and for the most part enjoyable game. »
« Mediocre tactical game, apparently based on tabletop RPG. Pros: decent voice acting, nice graphics, somewhat lore-rich setting. Cons: Feels like it was "ported" from tabletop to videogame with very few changes, which led to repetitive mechanics, boring stealth & almost zero strategy. On hard difficulty, virtually every map requires the same slow & not very fun tactics: first stealth-ambush all stragglers, then finish last 2-3 enemies standing. Poor controls, almost 0 interaction with NPCs, no environmental hazards to use against enemies (except blowing floors/walls with grenades), all weapons working too similar... »
« This game had all the potential to be a pretty solid TRPG, but a series of baffling game design decisions just killed it. During the first hour of the game, I found three med kits. Just three. That may not sound bad, but consider that 1) you have three people in your party, 2) most enemies will one-shot you, and c) 90% of the time you will be facing enemies in vastly superior numbers. Literally the fourth encounter of the game had me fighting 8 enemies, one of which was a sniper on a high ground. And all of this happens before you've had any time to properly level up or even restock. You start the game with almost no money, so even though you are technically allowed to visit the shop, you can't buy nearly enough stuff to survive more than one fight, two if you're VERY lucky. The major factor here is the loot system, which is crap. You almost never find anything you can use right away. You mostly find junk that you can LATER trade for something useful, but in the case of this game, it's always too little, too late. And yes, I know what you're gonna say. "You can use the stealth approach". But that is such a non-option. Calling stealth in this game basic is like calling trump a not very nice person - a huge understatement. Stealth in this game is so undercooked that Gordon Ramsay would give it a three minute nonstop rant if it were a meal. Overall, this could've been a decent game if the developers hadn't been so determined to artificially inflate the challenge. »
« Great spin on some classic X-COM action. Loved the look of the characters and world. Lots of interesting weapons and tools at your disposable as well. Plays better then 90% of other X-COM likes, worth checking it out if you are a fan of those. »
ITALIAN USER This game is spectacular. It has a captivating story and graphics. The gameplay is equally well-structured, as it is a turn-based strategy game. Beautiful. It's great for beginners to the turn-based genre. »
« Honestly tried, but "didn't imbue". Interesting visual style, my favorite XCOM concept. Not a bad story line... But those flat jokes, no interesting narration, foolish cool-down skill mechanics, no cut-scenes. Part of the game I passed through, but then I realized that I did not want to finish it. Not bad game, but not interesting for me. »
« Çok iyi bir XCOM. Yani silah kullanılar turn based RPG'lerin hepsi XCOM değil mi? »
