Mushroom Quest, développé par Flying Islands Team et édité par Drageus Games et Flying Islands Team, est sorti le 18 juin 2018 sur PC, Nintendo Switch et Xbox One. Ce jeu de réflexion et d'arcade indépendant, réalisé avec GameMaker, propose une relecture du genre sokoban sous un style rétro et une ambiance calme, où un champignon ressuscité dans un donjon doit collecter des cristaux magiques pour s'échapper en résolvant des énigmes. Classé parmi les genres arcade, stratégie, indépendant, réflexion et jeu de société, il affiche un temps de parcours de environ une heure pour l'histoire principale et une heure et demie en complétionniste, pour un prix de 2,39 euros et une note agrégée de 70. La presse comme Pure Nintendo a souligné que les amateurs de puzzles légers pourraient hésiter face à la difficulté des défis tardifs, tandis que certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont regretté la brièveté et la facilité du titre, d'autres jugeant l'expérience amusante et correctement réalisée pour quelques heures, et des avis négatifs sur Steam y voyant surtout un délire court pour les plus jeunes.

« Mushroom Quest is a fun, cheap, fairly well-made sokoban/block moving puzzle game that should provide at least a couple good hours of entertainment and a decent challenge in the later levels. I got this game on a whim on one of the publisher's huge sales for about 9 cents. This was actually my introduction to sokoban games and I was instantly hooked and bought a few more in this style. The game has a simple and cutesy retro 16 bit style that might not be suitable for some, but it gets the job done. While the value is excellent, I knock a couple points off the game for simply being too short and somewhat lacking in content with only 30 levels. I would call this a definite must-buy for anyone when the game is on sale for literal pennies (as it often is), but it's worth the retail price of $3 too. If you enjoyed it I would also recommend the more challenging sequel Mushroom Savior, made by the same developers and released by publisher Flying Islands Team. »
« Cute little puzzle game. Clunky in the animation and a little bit in the controls sometime, but really not a problem to play. Got it for 5 cents on the e-shop, so it was a cool puzzle experience (reminded me of Zelda : Alttp because of the rupees). They could have added juste a little story at the beginning and the end just to make the game a little more rich, but all in all it's just a small puzzle game. Some of them are a little harder at the end but they are far from impossible. »
