best game, ive been wanting a game like smash bros for decades, this is hella good

« MultiVersus shows there's enough promise to expand the platform fighter genre with a new focus on 2v2 gameplay and intriguing movesets for each character. We didn't call Mortal Kombat a Street Fighter clone, despite them sharing a 2D plane. Nintendo didn't even begin the platform fighter genre: it only popularized it. The term "Smash Clone" is a demeaning one, which is a huge turnoff for many. MultiVersus should get love for its concept, and as it continues to build, hopefully it will get its time in the sun. »
« Even when stripping away the glossy licenses and arenas, Multiversus remains an excellent fighter that feels like a great barometer of how to do free-to-play right. That low barrier to entry makes it a great way to spend an evening with friends, and with more characters to come, it could grow into a true “Smash killer” over time. »
« MultiVersus from Player First Games is a good fighting game. It does a good job of competing against the likes of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. series. While it may not yet have the longevity of Nintendo’s golden child, MultiVersus’ characters, maps, and welcoming atmosphere are enough to convince any future wannabe fighter to give it a try. »
« MultiVersus is back and in a much better place. Its chunky, satisfying combat is lots of fun, especially with so many unique characters to toy with, and the roster will only get bigger and weirder in future. The Rifts mode adds a neat way to play singleplayer, and there's always plenty to keep you occupied with various missions to work towards. There is still room for improvement; it's a little rough around the edges, and Battle Pass progression can still feel like a slog. However, there's a lot to like about this free-to-play fighting game's zany crossover premise. »
« MultiVersus, currently in Beta but already available, enters the ring with a gameplay accessible to all, a bit technical and immediately fun. It provides the show with its five-star cast and colorful artistic direction. The number of characters is still low and the clashes are sometimes rough, yet this does not prevent the title of Player First Games from doing well. The Free to Play economic model could well put off some fighting game aficionados while by being a ready-made gateway for neophytes wishing to discover the genre. »
« While it’s clear that some things need work on MultiVersus, it’s encouraging to see that the things that truly matter – the unlocking of characters and the core gameplay systems – are the things that have received the most attention. These are easily the two strongest tenets of MultiVersus’ offerings thus far. With time, I can only hope that the lack of variety in levels, lacklustre music, and slower cosmetic offerings can be remedied. »
« "Surreal" is actually a perfect word to describe MultiVersus, a game that brings together iconic characters and makes them fight. These characters are as authentic as they come, feeling as if they've been ripped straight from their source material thanks to excellent voice work. The team-based mechanics are truly beyond anything else offered in a platform fighter, while the classic 1v1 format also impresses. The roster offers plenty of variety, though unlocking all of the characters without having to dip into the real-world wallet will definitely be a chore. We don't know how much of its power MultiVersus has tapped into yet--the open beta will soon give way to Season 1--but as it stands now the game has smashed any and all expectations. Even if MultiVersus doesn't unseat the king, it is more than ready to rule its own little corner of the kingdom. »
« With a strong initial roster, great visual presence and focus on cooperative combat, MultiVersus carves out a distinct spot for itself in the platform brawler genre. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« Hora de Aventuras llegó, coge a tus amigos y vámonos, con Jake el perro y Finn el humano, lo pasaremos guay hora de aventuras. »
« Hey, been a long, allllllright, i'm not about to talk a lot here, but let's just say, better wait MVSI. If we talk season 5 here, okay character balance is a thing ( PPG RICK MARCELINE, RAVEN GIZMO) but shield made the game lowkey worst for some reasons, OVS is here while servers are off tho, have fun yall <3 »
« un picchiaduro carino ma nulla di che, che sapeva farsi amare ed odiare ed ora con la chiusura dei server e la rimozione dagli store la sua caduta nell'oblio è solo una questione di tempo. 5.5/10 »
« This game failed to hold my attention for more than one week. I've heard its fun tho. »
« Nothing but a shameless micro transaction slop game ruined by greed. WB shut the game down and then later relaunched it saying it was a rebranding. Over the years they added new characters with micro transactions in a game that you all ready had to pay money to play. Now the game has been shut down for good and will never see the light of day ever again. »
« This Review is retrospective. I recently remembered that Multiversus ever existed. It's now mid-2025, and the game officially was shut down, making its lifespan a little under 3 years. I feel Multiversus was and is exactly what much of the gaming industry gets wrong about Multiplayer games today.Multiversus, from the beginning, was clearly a shallow shell **** that was entirely based on the wacky roster of characters. It added little to nothing interesting to the fighting game genre. It was packed with battlepass-like microtransactions that no one wanted to buy because the game itself wasn't good. This game was created to be an "Alternative" to Smash. The only problem with alternatives is- Why would I go and play Multiversus, an alternative to Smash, when I could just go and play Smash? As a whole, this game was awful. The Roster was its main appeal, but the roster was solely cosmetic. It wasn't fun to play as Lebron James because his move set added to the game's playability and complexity, but instead, you play as him because it seemed funny to play as Lebron James. Outside of the character roster, the core gameplay itself wasn't there. The fighting was floaty and inconsistent. The online game not only ran terribly, but was terrible at matchmaking. Often, you get put with a person, and you either destroy them or they destroy you. It was an inconsistent, cash grab, smash clone, shell ****, and I feel sorry for those who believe it was ever something more than a crappy advertisement. »
« One of my favorite Platform fighters, i dont undrstand the updates tho, like what happened »
« The game has really big potential, but wb are just really greedy, if they were trying to actually add some DC characters that we wanted and don't lock them behind an paywall the game would be amazing, but they just wanted money and shut the game off »
