Mort the Chicken est un jeu de plateforme développé par AndNow et édité par Crave Entertainment et Ubi Soft Entertainment, disponible sur PlayStation depuis le 30 novembre 2000. L'intrigue plonge des poulets dans la panique lorsque des créatures mystérieuses provenant d'un autre monde enlèvent leurs poussins, ceux-ci étant volés à la ferme et menacés de devenir de savoureux en-cas. Le courageux Mort, un super-poulet doté de super-pouvoirs, doit alors les secourir en caquetant, en picorant et en utilisant sa crête comme un fouet pour ramener la fierté de la ferme en sécurité.
Concernant les avis publiés par les joueurs sur Metacritic, certains ont exprimé leur ressenti de façon très intense en répétant de nombreuses fois le terme « NIGHTMARE » accompagné du mot « pickle », et un autre joueur a simplement indiqué que son commentaire contenait des spoilers.
