Men of Valor, développé par le studio 2015 et édité par Sierra Entertainment et Vivendi Universal, est un jeu de tir (shooter) sorti le 19 octobre 2004 sur PC (Microsoft Windows) et Xbox. Le joueur incarne Dean Shepard, un nouveau venu au Viêtnam en 1965 sans expérience de guerre autre que l'entraînement de base à Parris Island, et combat le NVA et le Vietcong dans des lieux et batailles historiques tels que Khe Sahn et l'Offensive du Têt. Le titre propose treize missions de combat réparties sur quatre opérations authentiques, avec des environnements détaillés et un armement réaliste, ainsi qu'un mode campagne solo et un multijoueur en ligne jusqu'à 24 joueurs, le tout fonctionnant sur Unreal Engine 2 avec une protection SecuROM 5. La durée de la campagne principale est estimée à neuf heures trente et à onze heures trente pour une approche complétiste, et le jeu est proposé au prix de 9,99 euros. Le score Metacritic s'élève à 71 et la note agrégée à 66,62.
La presse a salué une création sublime dans l'ensemble, à l'image de Loaded Inc qui y voit un FPS solide rendant hommage au Viêtnam par une depiction pixel perfect des horreurs de la guerre, tandis qu'Australian GamePro invite à ne pas prêter attention aux accusations d'agenda caché, rappelant qu'il s'agit de jeu et non de cinéma politique. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic apprécient l'atmosphère et le cadre vietnamien original face aux FPS seconde guerre mondiale, tout en pointant des défauts, et des utilisateurs Steam recommandent le titre aux amateurs de rétrogaming pour des textures de décors et armes étonnamment bien détaillées, se réjouissant de sa disponibilité sur la plateforme.
