Very interesting, very good. Almost 50 hours in it, and I still want to play to complete all puzzles, all runs in all difficulties, and so on.

NEW EFFECTS UPDATE

Added a bunch of new unique effects to the game, so there are now infinite cards plus some more ready to discover! This is the second major free content update for Infinite Cards, and I hope to release many more in the future. If you'd like to support me as a solo developer, I've added a small Supporter DLC to the store. As a thank you, it unlocks animated Foil cards during your runs. The Foil effect is purely cosmetic and has no impact on gameplay. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4945110/Infinite_Cards__Support_DLC/ Because this update adds a lot of new effects and balance changes, I wanted to quickly explain how card generation works. Cards are procedurally generated, but every single effect is handcrafted and balanced. Each effect has its own chance to appear, rules for which cards it can appear on, and which other effects it can be combined with. Most importantly, every effect has a cost. A card has to "pay" that cost to gain the effect. How many points a card can spend depends on its mana cost, rarity, and the act in which it is generated. New Effects • New Core Mechanic: Barrier Dev Note: Barrier is a new effect that your commander can gain, similar to Parry. It absorbs incoming LP damage, but loses 1 value at the start of your turn. So it functions like additional temporary LP. • Rebalanced the probability of LP and Parry effects to fit the new Barrier effects. • Rebalanced Aqua Nereida: Now also grants +1 Barrier on Observe Spell Play. • Barrier is now explained in the tutorial. • New Effect: Play for free Dev Note: This effect lets you play a card without paying its mana cost. Observe Card Play and Play triggers will resolve, while Condition triggers are skipped and will not resolve. Think of it as the equivalent of "Move Unit/Relic to the Field", but it also works for Spells and resolves Play triggers instead of only Enter triggers. This effect will primarily target Spells, but can also target Cards from your Hand, Pile, or Deck. • New Legendary Creates for every Unit Type Dev Note: Added 8 new 5 Mana legendary Create cards to the game, each with abilities that match its Unit Type. Effects that create these cards can appear on Spells and Units of the corresponding Unit Type. They are rarer than other Create effects and also more expensive, so they will mostly appear in Act 3 and later. • New Legendary Effect: Win the Game Dev Note: Added multiple alternative win conditions to the game. Resolving this effect will instantly win the battle. They are VERY rare to obtain, and their conditions will be difficult to fulfill. New Way to Play with Your Collected Cards • After defeating the Ultimate Boss once, you can now choose a Commander to use against the Ultimate Boss and also play with the forged versions of your cards! Rebalances Shop Improvements • Every Shop now contains 3 instead of 2 Rare/Legendary cards, 2 Uncommon cards, and 1 instead of 2 Common cards. • In Act 1 and Act 2, Booster Packs now cost 2 Essence instead of 3. • In Act 1, cards are now approximately 20% cheaper. Event Probability Adjustments • 7th Row Events now have a slightly higher chance to be non-battle events, helping make runs a little shorter if desired. • Elite Battle opponents are no longer selected completely randomly. Their selection is now also affected by previous opponents, meaning you will never have to fight the same opponent twice in a row. • The second card reward from normal battles now also has a small chance to be Uncommon instead of Common. Effect Rebalances • Double and Triple Attack/Defense Chance slightly increased • -0|-n effects with high values are now cheaper and can now reach values up to -0|-20 Fixes & Improvements • Added a new filter option to the Deckbuilder that allows you to show or hide Collection cards in the overview. This makes it possible to show only your deck. • Renamed " Move to Field" to " Re-Enter" to make the effect more intuitive and easier to understand. • Improved the tutorial. Added an additional message after playing the Melee Weapon to better explain how works. • "Shuffle into the Deck" and "Create in Deck" now place cards at random positions in the deck instead of shuffling the entire deck. This ensures that cards moved to the top of the Deck remain in place. • Improved card image quality and fixed an issue where field cards and hovered card previews could appear blurry. • Changed the Phase 2 effect of the Ultimate Boss to improve performance. It now uses "Reset to Hand" instead of "Move to Hand", which skips the stack and handles multiple cards at once. • Fixed an issue where some permanent stat changes could also target opponent units. • Adjusted some Deckbuilder tooltips to make them more consistent and easier to read. • Various UI and visual improvements. • Fixed several incorrect unit type translations in German, Chinese, and Japanese. • Renamed "Range Weapon" to "Ranged Weapon". • Fixed an issue where Observe Limited with a Card Type requirement did not work correctly. What’s next? I’ll continue working on new content and improvements after this update. I’m currently looking into new ways to play with special modifiers that change how runs work, as well as possible improvements for the Steam Deck experience. Patchnotes V.1.1.1

Fixes & Improvements • Added a text indicator in the bottom left during Elite and Boss fights • Changed all non-Play and non-Activate effects that target Weapons from 0-1 to 1, resulting in Weapons being auto-selected if one is available • Fixed an issue where some "Fight: +n|+m" Weapon and Unit effects could also target opponent units, they can now only target own units (only "this turn" changes are allowed to also target Opp. Field) • Fixed an issue where the Activation cost for "Activate: Create 3|3 Giant" was incorrectly set too high (now correctly set to 3 mana). • Fixed a potential infinite loop caused by "Observe Enter/Leave/Died (Unit): Create Radiant Heartcrystal". It now requires Card Mana≥2 to prevent infinite loops with other "Observe Enter (Card Mana≥2): Create 1 Mana Unit" effects. Internal effect costs have been adjusted accordingly. • Fixed multiple "Observe Enter (Card Mana≥n): Create Dragon" effects that could previously retrigger too easily after transforming into stronger dragon versions. Internal effect costs have been adjusted accordingly. • Fixed Observe ... (Limited) effects. They now correctly trigger once per turn instead of once per round. • Fixed an issue where the target selection in the Pile was displayed at the wrong position after previously selecting a card from the hand as a target.
