Grid: Autosport

74 /100
24 juin 2014 32½ Hoursh

Gamestyle 90/100

« A glorious return to form for the series. »

Playstation Official Magazine UK 90/100

« Places the emphasis back on racing over contrived storylines - and leaves its peers eating its dust in the process. [Aug 2014, p.88] »

LaPS4 85/100

« GRID Autosport is one of Playstation 3's best driving games. A wide range of places, tracks and disciplines are its benefits. As bad counterparts: the terrible quality of its textures and the resolution at which the game works. »

COGconnected 85/100

« Ultimately though, GRID Autosport is a consistently satisfying, intense and rewarding game, one that I can’t wait to continue playing. »

Gamer.nl 85/100

« Better late than never: the third Grid game is the best one yet, especially when it comes to variety of racing classes, highly developed driving and artificial intelligence. The rough visual edges do not affect the strength of the experience that is reminiscent of the TOCA and DTM heyday of Codemasters. »

InsideGamer.nl 85/100

« Grid Autosport is a fine racing game with enjoyable driving experience, a lot of variety in types of (race) cars and an extensive online multiplayer mode. We can forgive the fact that the game doesn't look good in every respect: it has no negative influence on the experience of racing. By far the most impressive thing about the game is the AI, that asks everything of you to win races, again and again. »

Playstation Official Magazine Australia 85/100

« Codies triggered a flashback rewind to correct the mistake that was Grid 2. Weighted towards sim, but fun as well. [August 2014, p72] »

Gaming Nexus 85/100

« Codemasters demonstrates once again that they truly are the masters of racing game code. GRID Autosport is the most fun you'll have at the virtual track. Bet on it. »

« Okay, GRID Autosport is a mixed bag of good and bad.First of all, the game is too long and I never thought I would say this about a title of this genre because they are usually too **** career mode consists of five disciplines you have to do in order to reach the GRID championships : Street, Tuner, Touring, Open Wheel and Endurance. Started off with Street where you drive factory line cars on tracks such as Paris and Barcelona, both featured in GRID 2.Each of those disciplines has a good amount of championships to beat, with each having between two to like ten events. Events are consisted of one or several races. Now, this is where the problems start that make the career mode a chore to go through. A lot of those races inside the events are the exact same track with the exact same number of laps and not reversed, so basically it feels like having to restart a race. Added to that, you have an crazy number of them to complete before reaching the final championship of each discipline. I have not completed this game yet, only beat Street and Open Wheel with Touring currently underway but I am losing patience.Open Wheel has like 45, 46 races in total and after I asked ChatGPT to tell me how many career events there were in GRID 2, minus car challenges and promo events, there were 42... So Open Wheel alone is like beating the GRID 2 career mode, which is absolutely over the top and absurd. Sure, you do not have to go though every single championship since you need to reach EXP LVL 3 in each discipline to unlock the GRID championships, but if you are someone who loves reaching the endgame, you are looking at over 150h so good luck with that.Another thing is not being able to have your own team but only sign contracts and drive the same freaking cars instead of the option to use the entire car roster of the game, which is locked behind extra championships, custom events and online. Also, your team mates are pretty much useless, unless you ride with Ravenwest, where you have your team mate nearly always on the podium. The handling is okay. »

« Bad game! Terrible gameplay, weak graphics, horrible vehicle dashboard, but completely realistic destruction »

« My main complaint about the game is that it feels like I have no purpose in this game the Career is a Glorified Quick race mode what's the point of playing the career when you already have all cars and tracks unlocked? there's no sense of progression for me there's no reward or motive for you to boot the game because all your achievements are meaningless when I was playing this game I constantly got the feeling that I'm wasting my time because there nothing else of interest in this game then to race, yes the main aspect of racing games is "racing" but there are other factors too that make the game more interesting like progression and a career which adds a sense of exploration and freshness for the player as he/she unlocks more cars and tracks and a career rewards the player for spending time in the game and adds a sense of achievement and satisfaction for the player, which is a concept this game lacks. »

« Encuentro el control y la IA del juego muy justa, lo estoy probando y pasadas unas cuantas carreras, no me acaba de gustar. Tener en cuenta que no lo comparo con un simulador, si no lo valoro como juego de carreras de coches. »

Anthonylu123 10/10

« As you may know, I am one of the most experienced players in the world of Grid Autosport. Which is even BETTER than Race Driver GRID, and GRID 2. I can do long endurance races online and increase the XP for all my cars to max out the performance. Yeah! This is the best Codemasters racing game ever. Since I got it in November 2014. »

ferry90 10/10

« I don't understand such a low score for this game.Maybe some codemasters haters?this is a good game.Definetely one of the best sim for consoles i evere tried. »
