Description (IGDB)

FIFA 08 (named FIFA Soccer 08 in North America) is the 2007 installment of EA Sports' series of football video games. Developed by EA Canada, it is published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label. It was released on all popular gaming formats in September 2007 in Europe, Australia, and Asia, and in October 2007 in North America. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game feature an improved game engine with superior graphics and different commentators and are dubbed "next-generation" by EA. On all other platforms—including the PC—the game utilizes an older engine. The Nintendo DS version features fewer teams, stadiums, game modes and kits due to the limitations of the machine's storage medium. Commentary comes from Sky Sports' Martin Tyler and Andy Gray on next generation consoles; however, ITV Sports' Clive Tyldesley partners Gray on current generation consoles, and the PC version of the game. On the DS version of the game, Tyldesley is by himself. It also marks the first time the Nintendo GameCube has been excluded from the FIFA lineup since FIFA 2001 and the first the original Xbox and Game Boy Advance has been excluded from the FIFA lineup since FIFA Football 2002. The tagline for the game is "Can You FIFA 08?."[2] The theme song is "Sketches (20 Something Life)" by La Rocca, from the album The Truth.

« Thanks to genuine challenge, bruising A.I., a significantly improved Manager Mode, and more involving evolutionary player aspects, this year's FIFA emerges as yet another successful edition to EA's once vilified football portfolio. »

Planet Xbox 360 91/100

« The FIFA series can no longer be labelled as a joke because this year it has surpassed PES2008. The sheer volume of content along with the realistic game play and superior graphics, has led me to this conclusion. »

Armchair Empire 90/100

« Overall great stuff and it makes you wonder how EA will improve upon this… maybe they should start with improving the corner kicks. »

« Моя первая ФИФА, легендарные ру комментаторы, бесконечные матчи с ботами и первая карьера. Великие футболисты и команды, которые я изучал именно здесь. РПЛ, куча лицензий, смешная камера и революционный для меня геймплей. Челси с Эсьеном, Баллаком, Молудой и Дрогбой. Одна из причин, почему я люблю футбол. »

« BEST GAME EVR !0/10 The game is great. Graphics are above average. Game Modes are acceptable. The only problem with the game modes is that they should have added become a goalkeeper. Other than that, the game is one of the best soccer games I've ever played »
