Fast & Furious: Showdown, développé par Firebrand Games et édité par Activision, est sorti le 21 mai 2013 sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC (Microsoft Windows), Wii U et Nintendo 3DS. Ce jeu de course, propulsé par le moteur Octane et protégé par la gestion des droits numériques Steam, place le joueur aux côtés de la clique du film pour neutraliser un gang international. La durée de la trame principale est estimée à quatre heures et demie, tandis qu'un parcours complet atteindrait une vingtaine d'heures. Accueilli très froidement, le titre affiche une note agrégée de 21,50. La presse a salué certains éléments de surface tout en pointant des manques : l'Official Xbox Magazine a ainsi noté que le jeu « may have slick cars, death-defying moments, and corny dialogue like the films, but it lacks the punch and precision that’s made the top Fast & Furious », et Multiplayer.it l'a qualifié de « nice example of how NOT to make a game ». De leur côté, plusieurs joueurs sur Metacritic se sont montrés extrêmement sévères, certains conseillant de ne pas acheter le titre au motif qu'il s'agirait d'une perte de temps, d'autres allant jusqu'à le qualifier du pire jeu tiré d'un film.

« I think it's a very good game, I don't see what is with all the hate. It just takes on getting used too. The soundtrack is probably the best part of this game, I absolutely love it. I like the gameplay overall especially when you're in Hong Kong and you have too go down the mountain drifting at every turn. The only bad things about this game is the voice actors and the cutscenes, they're horrible, I'll admit. Everything else about this game is really good, at least rent it and try for yourself :) »
