Escape from Tarkov
Escape from Tarkov

« Singularly unforgiving, dizzyingly complex, and like no other FPS out there: the extraction shooter's extraction shooter. »
« Escape From Tarkov has changed significantly on its road to release, but there's little doubt over this being the best that Tarkov has always been. The story mode adds depth and meaning to the game in ways that were sorely missing before, making its standout environment and gameplay actually matter. It may not be the prettiest or the most approachable game, but Escape From Tarkov looks set to remain the premier post-apocalyptic first-person shooter in the market for the foreseeable future. »
« Escape from Tarkov may have spawned an entire genre, yet it remains one of a kind. Its complex mechanics, visceral gunplay, and unpredictable pacing aren’t for the faint of heart, but with the release of 1.0 on Steam, there’s no reason for fans of hardcore tactical shooters not to enlist. »
« Escape from Tarkov is a solid extraction shooter born in 2017. Despite its technical limitations and uneven balance, version 1.0 confirms it as a unique, intense, and persistently engaging hardcore tactical FPS. It's not for everyone, but that's precisely what makes it special. »
« The prototypical extraction shooter, Escape from Tarkov is a shooter I've been playing for the past decade and will be playing for years more. Sublime firefights and just-complicated-enough mechanics make this a great game to lose yourself in, but the immersion only lasts until you need to check the Wiki, which is constantly when you're just starting out. »
« It's clear that Escape From Tarkov has great qualities, but it demands too much time to understand and engage with the various gameplay systems involved. While the experience can be fun, the game might not be for you, depending on your preferences. »
« Escape from Tarkov is considered the pioneer of the extraction shooter genre. One of the longest-running games in the Early Access program, it released its final version in November 2025, along with the highly anticipated 1.0 version, marking the end of several years of genuine success. It has its rough edges and a few bugs that shouldn't be there, but the overall experience is unparalleled. It's the most hardcore game in the genre. It demonstrates that there's a large player base willing to face the toughest gameplay conditions. The reward tastes sweeter than in other games, no matter how many times you fall. No one knows what the future holds, but Escape from Tarkov certainly has another decade of enjoyment ahead. »
« As other hardcore shooters, it can be rough around the edges, with technical issues and an intimidating learning curve that may push away more casual players. Yet those flaws are often overshadowed by its unmatched tension and deep systems, where every raid becomes a high-stakes gamble and every piece of gear tells a story of survival. Escape from Tarkov isn’t an easy game to love, but its intense realism and unforgiving design make it one of the most distinctive shooters of its generation. »

« Escape from Tarkov is simply amazing! The realism, intensity, and depth make every raid unforgettable. I’m truly grateful to the developers for creating such a unique experience, and Nikita Buyanov is the best for leading this incredible project! »
« The game is very good in terms of logic, it gives a great feeling of shooting weapons, realism, etc. But on the other hand, there are a lot of annoying things like extremely unbalanced matchmaking, or the fact that the matchmaking time in the game is at least 10 minutes, and even if there is something enjoyable, it completely disappears because of these things. If these are fixed, it will be given another chance. »
« Геймплей. 10/10 Сюжет. 6/10 Графика. 8/10 Звук. 10/10 Оптимизация. 3/10 Оригинальность. 9/10 Реиграбельность. 8/10 Техническое состояние. 3/10 Удобство интерфейса. 6/10 Общее впечатление. 7/10 Итого: 70/100 »
« i play since the game is lunch and I DON'T KNOW WHY I CONTINUE, Tarkov is full of bug with zero optimisation !!!!!!!!! thanks nikita for the -100 eur btw ! »
« If you try and find a way to make tarkov fun the dev's will actively find a way to make you miserable. Tired of ENDLESS hackers 1 taping you but still want to play the game, well then switch over to PVE. Trying to finish any quest in PVE... nope now the bot hacker partisan hunts you down every raid. This is not just a bad and poorly made game. Its a bad, poorly made game by developers who actively hate their players having any type of fun. »
« Escape from Tarkov is pure, unfiltered trash. This game is a technical nightmare that barely functions. It crashes nonstop, freezes my entire system, and often refuses to close — forcing me to hard reboot my PC like it’s 2005. No other game does this. None. The performance is an absolute joke. Horrible optimization, random stutters, memory leaks, and crashes that come out of nowhere. Every session feels like a gamble: will I actually get to play, or will the game nuke my system again? For a title that’s been “in development” for YEARS, this level of incompetence is honestly embarrassing. Nothing kills immersion faster than losing progress because the game decided to implode. Instead of intense firefights, you get broken mechanics, endless bugs, and a UI that feels actively hostile. This isn’t hardcore — it’s just badly made. Escape from Tarkov feels less like a game and more like a stress test for your patience and hardware. It’s unfinished, unstable, and frustrating in every possible way. Massive disappointment. Absolute waste of money. I regret ever installing it. »
« EFT is an extremely demanding and stressful experience that is not even remotely fair. It sets a simple goal - escape from this city, and then it throughs everything it has at you, so you'd fail. You will always be outnumbered, you will be surrounded. You will never have enough supplies and ammo. Solo's only chance at survival is to keep moving all the time through an extremely dangerous unpredictable environment, while remaining cool and completing objectives. No matter how geared you are - one bullet to the face ends your raid like its nothing, good gear just increases your odds a little bit. Here I learned to stay effective under extreme pressure, I learned from every mistake and went again and again despite any setbacks, I accepted undeserved pain as a norm and I taught myself to keep moving forward no matter what. It would be fair to say that Tarkov prepared me for adult life better than anything else over the last 10 years. Escape From Tarkov is not a fun game. It is an extremely immersive and almost infinitely deep one though. Over 1000 Hours, over 9 years, still love it to my bones. Hands down the best gameplay-centered game I've ever played. Well done BSG. »
