Desperados III, développé par le studio allemand Mimimi Games et édité par THQ Nordic, est sorti le 16 juin 2020 sur PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 et Xbox One. Ce jeu d'infiltration tactique et narratif, construit sur le moteur Unity, plonge le joueur dans un univers Wild West impitoyable où il commande une bande de desperados menée par le gunslinger John Cooper, aux côtés de Kate, Doc McCoy, Hector et Isabelle. Œuvre de genres simulation, stratégie, tactique et stratégie en temps réel, le titre propose une histoire de rédemption à travers campagnes, marais et rivières jusqu'à un affrontement final, avec un temps de parcours principal d'environ vingt-sept heures et une approche complétionniste dépassant les soixante-quatre heures. Disponible au prix de 39,99 euros, il affiche un score Metacritic de 86 et un score OpenCritic de 85. La presse tchèque de LEVEL a salué une « combinaison unique » de filmisme, de gameplay et d'atmosphère, tandis que Ragequit.gr a qualifié le jeu de référence pour la cohésion de gameplay et la narration dans le Far West ; certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont toutefois regretté un scénario un peu en deçà de Shadow Tactics, et des avis positifs sur Steam ont présenté le titre comme le « must du genre », plus abouti que les productions précédentes du studio.

« Хороша ковбойська тактика, але є нюанс. Гра трошки не дотягує до шедевру Shadow Tactics у сюжетному плані - особисто мені не вистачило драми. Зрештою, це скоріше легкий вестерн із жартами та револьверними дуелями. Саме через простуватий сюжет знімаю пару балів. Але геймплейно все те саме і приємно знайоме: Рівні можна проходити абсолютно різними методами. Навички усіх героїв дійсно потрібні та гармонічні (немає "зайвих" персонажів, кожен тягне свою частину роботи, хоча Ізабель то звісно OP)Карти локацій, деталізованість, графіка, NPC та музика - все зроблено дуже якісно. Проходити гру було зовсім не нудно, навпаки - цікаво сидіти і розробляти різні тактики виконання завдань. Окремий плюс: гра ідеально адаптована для геймпада, грати було максимально зручно. Я відчула вайб таких ігор як Call of Juarez та RDR2. Хоча вони зовсім інші за геймплеєм, але маю на увазі, що сама тематика і атмосфера Дикого Заходу тут передана дуже чітко. Моя оцінка: 8/10 (Хороший геймплей, але хотілося б глибшої історії). »
« واقعا بازی زیبایی بود از هر لحاظی مثل گیم پلی وداستان و گرافیمو موسیقی و ... خیلی خوب بود. برای هر مرحله اش ساعتی وقت میذاشتم و همه مسیر ها رو امتحان میکردم. گیم پلیش اصلا یه سبک خاص خودش بود خیلی دستت رو باز میذاشت. حیف واقعا که شرکتش تعطیل شد. »

« Amazing game. Feels a lot like classic Commandos. I enjoyed it a lot. A must-play if you are craving games like the old Commandos. Super fun to play, and the mechanics give a lot of freedom in how you want to solve every level. The stars system gives a lot of replayability. »

Мені дуже подобається сетінг дикого заходу, кількість викликів у грі, різноманітні і цікаві місії. В мене є лише одна притензія до цієї гри, яка полягає в тому, що спочатку треба пройти місію, і тільки після цього тобі показують усі ускладнені умови її проходження. »
