Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling

27 juin 2019

« The game is not really bad. Its just... the graphics. I dont like this kind of boxy world. The mechanics are good and if there were an up-to-date graphics, I would probably like the game a lot. The mechanics are better then on the WWF game. But I cant convince myself to play the game as I really dont like the look of it. Its pity. It really is. I have spent a few more minutes on the game with my daughter and she doesnt like it. But still i hevent deleted the game. I will wait till some friends of my come to a visit and then I will try the game on them... ****/qUes8e24R7k 5/10 »

« Turns out this is not a true wrestling game... There are no pins and submission finish. Once your life bar is depleted, then its game over. So in other words, this is a brawler-fighting game disguised as a wrestling game. »

« Boxy Pro Wrestling is a far cry from being a great pocket wrestling game. The lack of simulation modes and stat keeping hold it back greatly. Single Player Grand Slam: There are 7 tournaments in total. All feature 4 four matches the exact same with different wrestlers and money rewards. First is 1v1, Tag Battle, Battle Royal (how many wrestlers increases with the later tournaments), and another 1v1 'boss' battle. Earn money for winning. You get a bonus $50 if you pin. As you win each match you unlock gear from the wrestlers as well as the wrestler from the final match. You can complete the Grand Slam in about an hour and a half. Multi Battle: There's 1v1, Tag Battle, and Battle Royal (up to 6 players on one console) in the share play mode. This makes all players us a joycon sideways. Local play sees you playing on your own console as other players on theirs. Same modes, up to 6 players. Online features all the same mode. It also keeps your match records. Matches, Wins, Opponents Defeated. As well as your XP and Rank Name. Create: You get 8 slots. For some reason you can't have spaces in your wrestlers name. The colour option gives you a colour spectrum which is nice but doesn't give you X or Y coordinates allowing for easy matching of custom colours. You get 11 total moves, choices ranging from 2-4 moves for standard moves (9) and from 10 move choices for your specials (2). You get 10 wrestlers after completing Grand Slam and 8 custom wrestlers for a total of 18. You can not edit the default wrestlers which would have been a bonus. The biggest mode the game is missing is a simulation mode. There's no way to sim your created wrestlers to fight one another allowing for you to manage your organization. No stat tracking as for offline play for those who want to GM. After putting in 2 hours I can say the game gives the absolute bare bones for wrestling game with many features left desired. »
