Championship Motocross 2001 featuring Ricky Carmichael, développé par Funcom et édité par THQ, est sorti le 1er février 2001 sur PlayStation. Deuxième opus de la franchise de motocross de THQ, ce titre se rattache aux genres course et sport. La presse a salué la qualité du jeu, Gamezilla! écrivant qu'il s'agit du meilleur jeu de course moto sur la console et qu'il est exigeant sans être insurmontable, tandis que PSX Nation le présente comme l'un des rares jeux de course PSX valant son prix pour les amateurs du sport. Certains joueurs, à l'image d'un avis publié sur Metacritic, le considèrent encore comme le meilleur jeu de motocross à ce jour.
