Bleeding Edge

63 /100
24 mars 2020

TheXboxHub 90/100

« Bleeding Edge on Xbox One is just pure fun. It’s a tight, fast thrill-ride that keeps me playing which, as someone who predominantly plays single-player, is not easy to do. While it certainly isn’t what some fans of Ninja Theory may be expecting, it is still a great first collaboration from what will likely be one of Xbox Game Studios’ finest teams. »

SomosXbox 78/100

« The gameplay of Bleeding Edge in the hero shooter style but with melee combat is original, it is fun, very direct and spectacular at times, although Ninja Theory does not end up hitting the key to make it stand out from the competition. It meets its goal of bringing new experiences and variety to the catalog of exclusive Xbox Game Pass games. »

IGN Italia 75/100

« A very interesting "hero slasher" that at the moment is lacking in terms of content and variety. »

DualShockers 75/100

« Bleeding Edge puts quality over quantity. The people at Ninja Theory have brought their expertise in the hack and slash genre and have translated it into a competitive experience that is both satisfying and distinct. But the lack of content and the boring ranged characters hinders it from really standing out amongst the overcrowded genre. Maybe in a few months, it will feel feature complete. But for now, Bleeding Edge will only have you strapped to your couch for a few hours before you decide to try something else out. »

Vandal 75/100

« Bleeding Edge has a great core, but it feels like there is still a lot of work to do. Games evolve constantly now, so it’s worth keeping and eye on and, if you are a Game Pass subscriber, make sure you give it a try. »

Everyeye.it 75/100

« The potential for Bleeding Edge certainly does not seem to be lacking, and indeed the bases for something encouraging can still be seen: it remains to be seen what will be the support for the title in the medium / long term, the only factor actually able to transform what is today a promise with so much personality in a truly noteworthy exclusive. »

God is a Geek 75/100

« A fun multiplayer brawler hampered by some lag issues and a lack of game types. With an update or two to iron out the kinks, this utterly charming game could go from good to great. »

MondoXbox 75/100

« Bleeding Edge is an original multiplayer brawler, with great charisma and a good team-based tactical gameplay. It lacks in content and shows several technical problems, but if Ninja Theory will keep on improving it constantly adding new content, it could become a new important competitor in the multiplayer arena. »

« It was a fun game. Shame that the Ninja theory ended the development (2021). The characters was unique and I would like to see them in a different game / universe. »

« I just played this game in 2023. I did all the achievements and the game is just dead. BUT I think the game is a fun multiplayer game. I think everything was there, the gameplay is fun, the characters are uniques but there is only 2 game mode , so this is a reason why the game failed. It gets boring after 3-4 hours but I did enjoy my time on it. (took me 10 hours to complete it) + Fun gameplay - Servers are dead - Only 2 game mode »

Stan_Osbourne 5/10

« Bleeding Edge has a lot of problems. And yes, the argument that it is allegedly "free" for Game Pass subscribers - the game still costs money, and given that it is from the Overwatch convoy and Team Fortress 2, then I evaluate them by those standards. There is practically no content in the game, you don’t want to hang in the game, there is no soul in it. There is also no role distribution in it - I always picked support Ziro Kul, or if he was taken, tankess Butercap, but somehow it turns out that I have 2 glanders in the team. Is always. In 4 vs 4 battles. Why in 2020 I can’t choose a role and a character at once and look for a game with this - it’s not clear to me. There are no cosmetics that you want to knock out, there are no rating games, interesting modes. There is nothing. But there is bad no-code and lags. First Ninja Theory fail in my memory. Hopefully the last one. The game is stillborn and will not stand the test of time. Glory to Ukraine! »

« I can't get over how poorly made this game was. I was very excited to try this game but really no thought or effort went into this terrible game. The game is clunky and never resembles fun, unless you're just looking at the characters who are mostly lovable. »

« Bleeding Edge has almost nothing to offer. What potential it has in it is woefully stuck in a product that is so meagre and void of content. It is like taking a single slice of cheese, and trying to cover an entire pizza pie; there just not enough here to make this work passed a few hours, and that's all. There are not enough modes, not enough interest in the community to keep it going, and the combat is way too simplistic for high level play. »
