« The gameplay is a dream. It's logical, well thought out, rarely requires any button mashing, and has a great tutorial that for the most part, walks you through the entire thing. »
« Sure we would like to see a different approach to the game's story mode but what's here is not only better but still way too much fun. »
« A moderate improvement over the original Day of Reckoning. »
« Day of Reckoning 2 is a lot better than the first one, and the control scheme is the best I've played in a while for a wrestling title. »
« The control mechanics, already solidly grapple-heavy and speedy, are made more intuitive still by a strategic synergy between stamina and submission systems, and complemented again by a fun momentum shift. The result is a wrestling game with less button mashing and more strategy. »
« Easily the best WWE game made for the Gamecube and arguably for any system, Day of Reckoning 2 addresses a number of bugs from the previous title and adds a larger sense of strategy and timing to the game itself. »
« The incremental improvements continue, with an overhauled graphics engine and new gameplay features, but the title still falls ever so short from living up to the pedigree established by AKI and games like "No Mercy" on the Nintendo 64. »
« This is by far the best wrestling title on the GameCube. As far as simulating the feel of WWE wrestling, it's the best game on any console. »

« I’ve played almost every WWE game, and while this one has good graphics and great entrances for each superstar, the gameplay isn’t very good. The AI is stupid, and I don’t understand why even after performing a finisher 10 times, I still couldn’t end the match. The story mode was weak, and I don’t know why I couldn’t play as any real WWE superstars. Overall, it was a bad experience SVR 06 is still better than this. »
« WWE Day of Reckoning 2 is one of the best wrestling games on the GameCube, improving on its predecessor with enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and a more refined grappling system. The story mode is engaging, picking up where the first game left off, and the roster is solid, featuring many WWE superstars from the Ruthless Aggression Era. The submission system adds depth, and the presentation feels top-tier for its time. However, the game lacks match variety compared to other WWE titles, and some AI issues can be frustrating. »
« very good »
« Best wrestling game on gamecube, great graphics for its time and smooth gameplay. »

« Great game awesome graphics and cool gameplay but the story not that great but overall good game »
« The best wrestling game on the Nintendo Gamecube. The graphics had quite a transformation from Wrestlemania 18 up to this game and they were impressive and very realistic for the time. The animations look really nice and new types were added as well. I did like the licensed soundtrack from the first game but I felt that this soundtrack was much better and sounded more hardcore and grungy which I thought was a great idea. The gameplay is essentially the same as the games that came before it but added the stamina system and the submission system which made the game more realistic. It also gave strategy for players. The game becomes intense when you play triple threat and fatal 4 way matches and I think it gets even more fun. The story continues from the first game and it is really good. You can pick choices in which alter the story which was a lot fans wanted in the first game but wasn't included. The customization system is improved over the first game but the load times get annoying very quickly. The roster was disappointing but that was what the Gamecube was able to give us. That's the only thing that sticks out. Overall, I would recommend it. »
« This game was amazing. Graphics were advanced for their time and are even better than most SmackDown vs Raw games Brilliant story mode as well. The actual gameplay of the game is the best of any wrestling game so far, even better than No Mercy on the N64. »
