Description (IGDB)

Woody Woodpecker Racing brings all of the classic Woody Woodpecker characters to the Game Boy Color. You can race as 10 different characters on 16 unique tracks. The racing action takes place in four different modes: Extreme, Grand Prix, Sprint, and Time Trial. Extreme has players trying to earn cups in a series of races, where the ultimate goal is to win first place in each race. Grand Prix stages races on the same tracks, but players are awarded points based on where they finish. Doing well in the races in both modes allows you to upgrade your vehicle. Both the Sprint and Time Trial modes allow for competition without the bloodlust of the other two modes. If you want to compete against another person, you can via a link cable. Race with a hyperactive bird in WOODY WOODPECKER RACING.

Avis des critiques et joueurs

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

GameZone 85/100

« This is one of those games that I love. It encompasses so many game lovers when it comes to genre. It is fun for those who love racing as much as it is for those who love seeing their familiar cartoon characters outside of the television. »

All Game Guide 60/100

« An unoriginal clone of most other kart games available for consoles and for the PC. If you don't have a kart game in your collection, it might be worth picking up, but if you do, skip it. »

Daily Radar 50/100

« With medical miracles and the highest average lifespan known in our short existence on this planet, we have to think that we've evolved beyond hitting each other over the head with frying pans and retractable boxing gloves. »

IGN 45/100

« Ultimately, Woody Woodpecker is an off-target choice of character that doesn't do much to help offset the noted shortcomings. Scooby-Doo, the Flintstones or Ren & Stimpy would have made a much more interesting and compelling racing title. »

Computer Games Magazine 40/100

« Woody Woodpecker Racing brings little to the genre; even if you don't expect more than a few cheap thrills from a game like this, you're still better off playing... well, you're better off buying a console and playing one of the innumerable superior kart-racing games on your platform of choice. »

GameSpot 36/100

« The biggest problem with Woody Woodpecker Racing is that it's just not fun. »

Game Over Online 30/100

« Extremely poor and frustrating gameplay, the lackluster visuals and limited controls. »
