What the Golf? est un jeu développé et publié par Triband, avec le concours de The Label, et sorti le 19 septembre 2019. Conçu comme une parodie physique du golf à destination des personnes qui détestent ce sport, il propose une succession de parcours surprenants où il est possible de golfer n'importe quoi, mêlant puzzles, défis et objets improbables tels que des grille-pains ou des hot dogs. Le titre, réalisé sous Unity, est disponible sur PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, visionOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 et Nintendo Switch, et se classe parmi les genres aventure, arcade, simulation, sport, indépendant et réflexion. Selon les données recueillies, la campagne principale demande environ trois heures et demie, tandis qu'un parcours complet atteint neuf heures, pour un prix de 16,79 euros. L'accueil critique a été favorable, avec un score de 83 sur Metacritic et 84 sur OpenCritic, et la presse a salué un puzzle-game physique addictif aux parcours variés, tandis que certains joueurs sur Steam décrivent une expérience rafraîchissante, drôle et à la durée de vie excellente.

« It's silly, it's fun, it's a golf game but not a golf game. Not many games make me laugh at loud, but this certainly does. Very easy to keep playing; a great casual game to pick up and play for a few minutes too. Only downside is that it isn't particularly challenging - there's very few "courses" that you'll need to play through more than a few times. »
