Touhou Tenkuushou ~ Hidden Star in Four Seasons is the 16th game in the Touhou Project series. It was announced on the developer ZUN's blog on April 20, 2017. A playable demo was released on May 7, 2017, at Reitaisai 14, and the full version was released at Comiket 92 on August 11, 2017. The game was released on Steam worldwide on November 17, 2017, becoming the first game in the series to be available on the platform.

Despite it being midsummer, the seasons in various locations are completely out of whack. The Hakurei Shrine is showered in cherry petals, the Youkai Mountain is basking in the middle of autumn, and the Forest of Magic is blanketed in snow... and thanks to some strange force, Gensoukyou's fairies are running rampant with unfathomable strength. In the midst of this undeniable incident, the girls set out to investigate and find the perpetrator behind it.

幻想郷の異常気象は決して地球温暖化が原因では無いようとして正体の判らない異変。
全ての季節に現れた不気味な機構。
隠されていたのは天使か悪魔か、それとも……
ゲームの進め方
敵弾に当たらないように避けて、敵を撃破するゲームです。
各ステージの最後にはボスが居ますので、それをやっつけるとステージクリアです。
テクニックと精神力をかけた、ボスと自分とのタイマン勝負です。
操作説明
・上下左右 自機の操作
・SHOTキー（Zキー） ショット
・SPECIALキー（Xキー） スペルカード（回数制限有り）
・RELEASEキー（Cキー） 季節開放
・SLOWキー（Shiftキー） 低速移動
・PAUSEキー（ESCキー） ポーズ
二つの季節装備
今回のプレイヤーは二つの季節を装備して戦います。
メイン季節はキャラ固定です。
博麗 霊夢 ── 春
チルノ ── 夏
射命丸 文 ── 秋
霧雨 魔理沙 ── 冬
季節に因んだショットとスペルカードを使います。
パワーアップアイテムで強化できます。
また、メイン季節とは別にサブ季節を装備できます。
キャラクターの後ろ側にミニオプションとして配置され、季節に因んだショットを撃ちます。
季節アイテムで強化され、一つ以上溜まっていると季節開放することが出来ます。
サブ季節
サブ季節はメイン季節を補佐する装備です。
季節アイテムを取得すると増えていき、最大６個までつきます。
季節アイテムは
「敵を早く倒す」
「敵弾にかする」
「スペルカードや季節開放で敵弾を消す」
と出現する季節オブジェ（桜、葉、紅葉、雪）です。
とにかく大量に出現します。
季節開放は一個以上装備している状態でリリースボタンを押すと行えます。

それぞれの季節ごとに特徴が違いますが、敵弾を消す事が出来るのでスペルカードの代わりになります。

Touhou 16 shoots onto Steam
Touhou is a phenomenon. Despite niche appeal, this long-running series of bullet hell shmups has grown into an enormous shared franchise in Japan. It’s an indie scene unto itself, enabled by creator Zun giving his blessing to people making and selling fan works. Touhou boasts twice-yearly conventions dense with cosplayers, multiple official comic lines and fan-made works including music, anime, and games spanning every genre, including boozy RTSs and even football RPGs. And yet, it’s still an almost impenetrable mystery to those standing on the outside. That barrier has become a lot easier to traverse yesterday, as Touhou 16: Hidden Star In Four Seasons has arrived on Steam, accompanied by a three-level free demo, and a comprehensive – albeit unofficial – localization patch. Update: The full release of the game came with a little more DRM than anticipated. The Touhou translation crew are attempting to work around it. Please wait warmly until it is ready. « Standard Touhou game. I like sub-season mechanic. Season relize is very helpful. Especially summer and auttum. Summer has weak relize, but costs only 1 level! Auttum has great damage and bullet clear. Great game that gives a hard challenge. »
« 16th Touhou Project, Nice scale of difficulty, almost can be called "family friendly" (if we compared with the other saga titles) and yea still have high pressure moments but its a good first Touhou to get into the world of Bullets Hell I give a 9 just because doesnt have (yet) a official English traslated version, but on internet you can find one pretty easly. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes or mispells :) »
