Gameblog.fr 100/100

« Even though it suffers some shortcomings when it comes to signature moves, or the overall sound department, Top Spin 4 is blessed with a pretty solid gameplay. Accessible and fun, it remains realistic as well with a huge career mode, and ranks up as the top title of the franchise to date. »

Gamers' Temple 96/100

« Having not played a tennis video game, real tennis match, or watched much of professional tennis, I was able to pick up the mechanics quickly thanks to the training and became addicted to the career mode. But as is the case with all sports games, the longevity relies entirely upon your own interest in the sport. By using basic RPG elements, streamlined gameplay, and having robust options to choose from, Top Spin 4 is an easy choice for tennis fans and non-fans alike. »

Vandal 92/100

« Surely there will be better tennis simulators in coming years, but after many hours with Top Spin 4, we can't imagine how to improve the recreation of the sport with such fun. »

IncGamers 91/100

« Fantastic. Probably the finest tennis game ever made - combining flair and accessibility with a level of depth that the competition has come nowhere near matching. Thanks to Top Spin 4, tennis games are relevant again. Very relevant. »

Gaming Nexus 91/100

« Top Spin 4 is a return to prominence for the series. New players and veteran players both can feel comfortable with the changes to gameplay that 2K Czech has built into this latest tennis effort. The improvements easily outweigh the flaws and this game is the best tennis simulation to arrive in years and the best overall tennis video game since the original Virtua Tennis. »

Gaming Age 91/100

« Top Spin 4 gets it right. It looks great. It's accessible without being too easy and can be played competently amongst friends without having to invest any more time than you decide. But for real tennis buffs it also stands alone as the best simulation to date. »

Multiplayer.it 90/100

« The best tennis simulation around has got better graphics and is finally accessible to anyone. It's still meant for true tennis fanatics. »

Eurogamer Italy 90/100

« If you like tennis you can't miss Top Spin 4, a game that improves the last chapter of the series in every possible way. Like Tina Turner said in 1989, this is "simply the best" tennis game of all time. »

« This game is really bad, you have to be crazy to say this **** is fun! The game is externally slow and doesn't have any emotion compared to Virtua tennis... not to mention that Virtua is an arcade game »

ANTtheKNEEEE 8/10

« So many bad tennis games in general. But this one was my favorite. The serving felt so smooth. »

Rubiales 8/10

« This game is even better than it's predecessor, even more realistic and with more tennis players to play with. »

zugges 5/10

« The game is boring. The career mode bored quickly and annoy. Animations lousy players. Tournaments to be played only in career mode. You can play moments but it's not for long hours. »

zuchatec 7/10

« The game is good but gets bored quickly. Career mode after some time is monnotony. Animations better than virtua tennis 4. There is no tournament mode so for a minus. Sometimes just wanted to play the US Open or the Australian Open. Gives 7 because and so the best game of tennis. »

tennisgamer365 7/10

« Top spin 4 is a great game, it has all the features you would wan't from a tennis game, this category being my strength in reviews, I was pretty amazed. I once was a Virtua Tennis fan, but now I see the pressure is on SEGA, amazing gameplay, accurate shot making, and brave shots are included in this great game. Career mode is a calendar, settings are easy to control, it really is so basic to play, and for a pretty cheap game, 2k Sports have done well. »

Andoloo 4/10

« When a video game series becomes less accessible and more difficult to master than the actual sport it was based on, something has gone horribly awry. I'm not sure what game the reviewers were playing, but as for myself, I think I'll stick with the actual sport, or better yet, the infinitely more fun and superior looking Virtua Tennis series. (This game looks even worse than it plays.) »

Alexcritic24 9/10

« of course it isn't the perfect game of all of them but out of all of the sport games i have ever played, this is the best one. i feel it is almost impossible to improve the graphics, and the variety of shots is amazing. for any tennis fans, a must buy! »
