The Bigs 2
Description (IGDB)
The BIGS 2 is an arcade-style baseball game that is less focused on the intricate details of the game and more on the actual gameplay, proven by the inclusion of power-ups and turbos during gameplay. All 30 teams from MLB and their stadiums are included, as well as their player rosters. The Wii version of this game is controlled by flicking the Wii remote and Nunchuk. These motion controls include drumming the remote and nunchuk when trying to speed up and using the remote as a bat when hitting.

« The BIGS 2 comes through huge. It's still the game that it was meant to be, it's got a season mode and it's still baseball as opposed to a sideshow. The new version is deeper and a little more polished, and that's more than can be said about most sports games. »
« From the excellent blend of both arcade and pro-accurate MLB components, to the strength of the audio and graphics, The Bigs 2 is a player. »
« While we’ve got a small list of complaints – you get no instant replays, pitches are tough to pick up in Home Run pinball, and the commentary gets repetitive really quickly – they don’t really impact the overall awesomeness that is The BIGS 2. In fact, it’s our favorite baseball game of the season, even if it’s really just an action game dressed up in pinstripes. »
« Bottom line, The Bigs 2 is everything a sequel should be, a game that adds to the previous edition while retaining its magic. Unless you despise unrealistic and arcade style sports, we highly recommend it. »
« With easy to learn controls, great arcade gameplay and some fantastic catches, this game should be played by any baseball fan. »
« The Bigs 2 offers an enjoyable and arcadish take on baseball. It may not offer enough depth for purists, but for players like me, that like a little bit of arcade fun mixed in, it delivers in spades. A worthy sequel this game is indeed. »
« The baseball lovers shouldn't think twice about buying this game: it gets everything people like about this sport and makes it even more spectacular. Too bad for the online multiplayer, made of too few play modes and plagued by serious technical problems. »
« It's never easy to mix arcade and simulation in a good sport game. The Bigs 2 makes it and is another high level-game from 2K Sports. Singleplayer is funny with the Become a Legend and in multiplayer the game reaches the maximum of his quality. If you like baseball and are not a maniac for the simulations, this is a must buy. »

« This game is supposed to be fun, don't take it seriously. The game is fun by yourself or with others. »
« They were not lying when they said baseball players use steroids because in the Bigs 2 its more fun have you ever imagine a baseball player jumping of the side wall of the baseball field to catch a ball which was intended to be homerun well in the Bigs 2 that is possible! some how but its way fun when it happens. In the game there are three modes number one is the play ball mode which is basically just an exhibition game then there is become a legend mode this lets you make a character from scratch and then watch him improve as you pick his team and play games in America all the way to Japan and Mexico and really it is a very fun mode then there is home run pinball which puts you onto the streets of New York, Japan and many others the rules are your going to have to hit the signs on the buildings (or the buildings themselves) to score points it is a fun mode but not one to waste time with overall the bigs 2 is a very fun time waster and if you enjoy baseball players jumping unrealistically far try it!! i doubt you will be disappointed »
« The Bigs was an extremely fun game (except for Home Run Pinball). The Bigs 2 - not so much. It's like they (the developers) looked at all the things that made The Bigs fun, and then eliminated them in The Bigs 2. Things like getting to choose which path you want to take with your "superstar". You don't get to decide if you want a speed demon or a slugger in the early portions - the path now is fairly linear. Another gripe is the way they programmed the batter's "power-up". It's fairly useless in The Bigs 2. You actually hit better not pulling the trigger and forcing the opposing pitcher to throw a strike. I have no idea why they changed that aspect - it was a fairly stupid decision. (The Big Blast & Big Heat are still fairly good though.) There are going to have to be some seriously good reviews for me to shell out the dough for The Bigs 3. As for The Bigs 2 - my recommendation is to skip it, or at the least buy it at a steep discount. »
