SWAT 4

85 /100
05 avril 2005 9 Hoursh

Computer Gaming World 100/100

« Simply put, SWAT 4 is just about the best tactical shooter available. Its outstandingly realistic and gripping play delivers everything a tac-sim fan craves. Now, if you'll excuse me, there are more perps in need of cuffing. »

VideoGamesLife 100/100

« SWAT 4 is no "System Shock 2" – it’s not going to break any boundaries. However, in a world where professional finish and attention to detail is increasingly rare, its focus on filling a job role rather than filling terrorists with holes is refreshing and admirable, and is definitely worthy of investigation from anyone capable of exercising the restraint required to fully appreciate what this game is about. »

Gamers' Temple 95/100

« A thoroughly enjoyable game and it also feels sort of good to be able to succeed in a first person shooter without having to kill every person that you come across. »

Games Radar 91/100

« This is a game that rewards care and attention by making you part of a brutally efficient machine. Other games give you a crusade, but SWAT 4 gives you the job itself - only without the hazard pay or sudden bullets to the face. [PC Gamer UK] »

Gamer's Hell 91/100

« It is a very difficult game that ramps up exponentially as you progress, but every completed mission leaves you with a satisfied feeling, a sense of accomplishment, like you've made a difference. »

GameSpy 90/100

« There's something compelling about the room-to-room nature of the single-player missions that rarely gets old, even after you've failed a particular mission a dozen times. »

IGN 90/100

« They've managed to make non-lethal tactics both important and fun with great sound bytes, exciting tactics, and a good selection of weapons. »

Cheat Code Central 90/100

« Provides a great balance of gameplay features with an easy-to-use interface and realistic situations. I wouldn't be surprised if this game was being used in training sessions for special forces recruits. »

djmaxcz 10/10

« In a world full of run-and-gun shooters, SWAT 4 stands out as a beacon of tactical brilliance and realism. It’s everything a tactical shooter should be and then some. If you haven’t played it yet, you’re missing out on one of the best squad-based shooters ever made.10/10 — Perfection in every way. »

« Very cool and unique game with a lot of character and an interesting world but its very buggy and sometimes tedious, 8 with SEF mod »

Blackeagloo 8/10

« as a "SWAT simulator" good game, but it still has some large -. Like if suspect runs away, you cant shoot, but you wait until he stops, points gun as some1 and kills them. There is mod for it, but we dont count mods. Sadly obstacles are not wallbangable. Im not going to talk about stupid things like if you stay next to door and someone tries to open it, he cant. Strange lags while team is on stairs, aimbot enemies, and that becomes even **better** when you need to wait when they point gun at someone, or they just do 360 and hit u in the head. The game is good, but for its time. »

« GAME IS TOP! PLAYING WITH FRIENDS IS VERY INTERESTING. LACK OF MAPS, GAME MODES, SMALL TECHIQUE ISSUES. »

Suprizer 7/10

« Repetitive but great for its time. I wish they made more games like this one now days. What we have the likes of swat 4 are far from its realism. »

Kapterk 8/10

« My favourite tactical shooter that gave me my childhood. The game was a breakthrough game for the time, although it is very rarely mentioned, the loyal community remembers this game. 8/10 »

FabiQ_ 10/10
