Steep
Steep

« Steep is the perfect mountain simulator, with a perfect balance between a proper physics engine and an arcade and immediate, funny feeling. »
« Without the pure granular gratification of its tricks, Steep's feast resides in its many moments. Enjoying a beautiful vista, surviving a suicidal bombing run down the side of a mountain, or uncovering a new area and being rewarded for it – this is what keeps me coming back. »
« Steep refines the winter sports template in a way that no other title has managed to this extent; skillfully marrying open-world and social aspects to create one of the freshest genre entries around. Steep is the most fun I’ve had on the digital slopes in a long time. »
« There’s a different kind of emergent gameplay that surrounds Steep, and it’s the game’s strongest component, and it falls back into that freedom gameplay pillar I mentioned earlier. You couldn’t possibly have this playspace with linear, game-directed objectives. And while Challenges offer you pathways to complete them, and obviously have finish lines, the freedom you have to just do all of the things, as you please, is the game’s number one strength. »
« The missions are as varied as they are challenging, while the mountain panoramas are just beautiful. Nonetheless a lot of potential remains untapped. »
« Steep is the most realistic extreme sports simulator we've ever played. It shows four different ways of exploring The Alps, lots of time and score challenges and big customization options. The point is that maybe it's too realistic for people that have never stepped into a couple of ski boots, who may seek another kind of fantastic sport experience. »
« Steep is a fun game, with open world features and extreme sports where players can exploring and completing challenges in the stunning panorama of the Alps. »
« Steep is a fresh breath. Fun, frantic and innovative, manages to combine the thrills of illustrious predecessors in the genre, like the SSX series, with more modern formulas. »

« This game is horrible. Just horrible. It doesnt even matter if you do a trick perfectly it will put you in this grey filter which is useless and then you fall. I hate this game. »
« This game is insanely awesome! Everything is fun and well made, I just don't give it a 10 because the letters are too small and you can't make them bigger. Alto's ps4 »
« The grand scale of this wonderful open-world game is unprecedented for winter sports games. It gives you the Alps mountain range as your playground, with its beauty, thrills and danger. Snowboarding and skiing controls and physics are well made. It plays more "simcade" like Amped than an arcade sports game like SSX. And it also plays like Pilotwings! The rocket suit, wingsuit and parachute challenges are just like in Pilotwings, only harder. The game offers 100+ challenges across various mountain sports. The easier challenges allow you to relax and soak in the beauty of the Alps, while the more difficult challenges will test the skills of hardcore gamers. It's a superb snowboarding, skiing & Pilotwinging package for all winter sports fans. »
« Juego sin más. Divertido los primeros 20 minutos, lo demás era pasar el tiempo. »
« I admit, I was excited to play this one, until I did, and realised it was boring as sin. If you want a more enjoyable experience, with more content, play Riders Republic, as it has skiing, but better. »
« great game with a big map and you can learn about some mountains graphics are good enough and gameplay beautiful with calmig challanges stunning views or just pure adrenaline it contains everything »
« Rating: 7/10 Steep is a good game that offers about 10 hours of solid gameplay before it becomes somewhat monotonous. The game dazzles with its stunning graphics and delivers an engaging experience, especially in wingsuit flying and skiing. However, it falls short in terms of mechanics in some areas and lacks compelling long-term motivation. Pro: (+) Stunning graphics that truly showcase the beauty of the mountains. (+) Engaging gameplay, with wingsuit and ski activities standing out. (+) Offers a considerable amount of content to explore. (+) Unique theme and topic that set it apart from other (sports) games. (+) Expansive and beautifully realized open world. (+) Mountain stories add a super atmospheric element to the game. Con: (-) Lack of a narrative makes it less appealing for single players, as it drops you into the world with little direction. (-) The progression system is underdeveloped, with too much unlocked from the start. (-) Paragliding experiences are dull compared to other activities. (-) Challenging mechanics may frustrate players, especially when striving for gold medals. (-) Overwhelming character customization options that can detract from the game. (-) Absence of a true offline mode limits accessibility. DLC: The available DLCs are somewhat nice but not essential to the core experience. They add some variety but do not fundamentally change the game's dynamics. And there is plenty of content in the base game. (The rocket launcher is also hard to control) »
