Singstar: '80s, un jeu de musique développé par SCE London Studio et publié par SCE Worldwide Studios Europe, a été lancé le 4 novembre 2005 sur PlayStation 2. L'objectif principal du jeu est de chanter les morceaux proposés avec la plus grande justesse possible. Le système de points repose sur la pureté vocale, c'est-à-dire la capacité à rester dans le ton, en évaluant précisément si le joueur parvient à atteindre la note correcte au moment voulu. Le jeu ne dispose pas de reconnaissance des paroles et ne tient pas compte des éventuels changements d'octave effectués en plein chant.
Le titre affiche un score agrégé de 77,40. Concernant l'accueil critique, 1UP a salué l'expérience en affirmant qu'il s'agit de « It's the closest thing to karaoke perfection I've seen yet. ». De son côté, Jolt Online Gaming UK a livré un avis selon lequel le jeu « really (for us, at least) holds very little appeal when by yourself », tout en relevant que « with a group of friends though, it’s easily the most fun you can have with a PS2. ».
