Cinq types de gameplay principaux, déclinés en plusieurs variations selon les époques et endroits, sont proposés : le vol, la course, la pêche, le tir et le plateforming en 2.5D.

« It may not be the most revolutionary side-scrolling platform adventure, but it packs in enough variety, challenge and sheer fun to make it appeal to fans of the genre looking for something more traditional on the Nintendo 3DS. »
« Quotation forthcoming. »
« If there's a problem with Rabbids 3D it's that it's a little too forgiving, despite the game's best efforts to be otherwise in its latter half. Still, given the as-of-yet anemic selection of 3DS releases available, Rabbids 3D is one of the better options. »
« Rabbids 3D starts with great promises, only to withdraw them later in the game, when the player realizes that design and difficulty never evolve so much from semi-tutorial levels. It is still a solid, lenghty and enjoyable game, maybe aimed more at children, but we think that this team can do much much better things. »
« Overall, Rabbids Travel in Time 3D manages to accomplish what it sets out to do. That is to provide mindless entertainment for 3D gaming on the go. It is a simple game, fun and perfect for younger gamers, as it is easy to pick up, the controls are very basic, and progressing along the games many levels is accomplished with ease. More mature 3DS owners will likely want to pass this one up, but younger 3DS will want to give this one a go. »
« Rabbids 3D won't satisfy those veteran players looking for a classic platform game, as it doesn't bring anything especially new, but it will please younger players looking for an approachable title with long durability. »
« Rabbids Travel in Time 3D plays it simple and safe, relying on its charming presentation to carry the bulk of the weight. [May 2011, p.89] »
« A fun platformer, but the repetitive levels and clumsy progress tracking let it down. »

« It was a good idea to have a Rabbids Platform game, but this is not the way to do it. The gameplay itself is very simple, but fun. Everything else is very lacking. There's pretty much no boss battles, the music is really not very good and I know it's the Rabbids, but the story definitely could've been better. This game is a good example on how to describe a game as meh or mediocre. »
« El juego me vino cuando me compre la consola, pude haber elegido cualquier juego pero vi el video de este y me parecio entretenido. Al principio se hace adicto pero despues lo dejas de jugar. Entretenido, pero no es gran cosa. »
« If you're looking for an OK 2D platformer, you could buy Rabbids 3D and enjoy it, but levels are bare and not creative, enemies are just rabbids, difficulty is very low, graphics and sound are mediocre, and the 3D effect does nothing to help it. You control a rabbid through four time periods, each with fifteen levels and a battle level at the end. The battle levels are easy, and since they always end a time period, this results in a ridiculously easy final level that lasts less than a minute. Overall, Rabbids 3D isn't bad- it just lacks originality. »
« The best reason for the twenty six points lost is the limited amount of levels. Luckily, it is better than most other rabbids games. The other factor is the total number stages, lower than the average game. It may not contain minigames, but it is still well done Overall, 7.4/10 »
« I thought this game was really good because you got to go on adventures and do lots of cool things with rabbid and it was also in 3d so it was really good »
« Rabbids Travel in Time: ------------------------------- Pros: 1) It's a great side-scroller. 2) Makes good use of the 3D effect. 3) The eras have themed music and backgrounds. 4) You can unlock a series of dioramas and pictures. Cons: 1) There are only four time eras. 2) Each level is very repetitive. 3) The game is too easy. I beat it within a week. In conclusion, this is a great game for children, but for us older folks, it seems to go way too fast. I truly regret making this my first 3DS game. Rating: â »
