« Palworld succeeds by weaving together a wide range of survival mechanics into a gameplay loop that's consistently rewarding and remarkably approachable. Rather than relying on any single mechanic to carry the experience, it excels by making exploration, progression, base building, and its namesake Pals constantly strengthen one another. While a repetitive main story structure and a few lingering rough edges in base building keep it from reaching perfection, they're far outweighed by a dense, engaging adventure that confidently stands among the genre's best. »

« At its core, Palworld 1.0 is the same fantastic game you know from early access, but with more content, more to discover, a motivating and enjoyable endgame and many clever changes and improvements under the hood. New accessories and reworked pal skills and bonuses allow for new synergies, play styles and build opportunities on a whole new level of compexity and depth for this game. Boss battles finally feel like exactly that, rather than tediously bonking singular pixels out of comically oversized health bars. Now, if Pocketpair could add more than what feels like the same three pieces of background music and maybe elevate the visuals beyond PS3-level quality, then possibly add a weather effect or two, I would be perfectly happy. »

« I never done a review in my life. But here it is Palworld is a Hollow Asset Flip Disguised as Innovation. I wanted to like this game but it became clear that Palworld 1.0 is built on shallow ideas rather than strong game design. Almost every mechanic feels borrowed from somewhere else without understanding what made those games work. The creature designs lean heavily on looking like Pokemon, the survival mechanics are generic, and the automation systems become repetitive instead of rewarding. Rather than forming a unique identity, the game feels like a mash-up of trends chasing whatever is popular to get you to buy.cThe world itself is surprisingly terribly organized. Exploration quickly loses its appeal because there’s little environmental storytelling, weak progression, and repetitive points of interest. Once you’ve seen a few areas, you’ve essentially seen the entire gameplay loop.Combat lacks depth, AI is inconsistent, and base management eventually turns into babysitting bugs and pathfinding issues. The game constantly fights against the player with technical problems instead of creating meaningful challenges. What disappointed me most is that the game prioritizes gimmicks over memorable worldbuilding. The creatures rarely feel like part of a living ecosystem, and there isn’t enough personality or lore to make the world feel worth investing in. For a game that generated so much hype, the final result feels unfinished and creatively unfocused. After dozens of hours, I walked away feeling like I’d spent my time in a collection of disconnected mechanics rather than a cohesive adventure. Lacks a clear identity. Overall: 1/10 A copy pasting familiar concepts is just bad. The only reason this game gets a pass its because the industry its collapsing itself including Steam except Nintendo for some reason. And its gathering all the people mad at this. Instead of making original games? People now rally behind games that can be used to drive sales away from Nintendo. I migt as well buy a switch 2 if this is what the rest of the industry is going to be. »

« After playing this game for 775 hours (and many more hours will be added after this review), I can honestly say that this game has blown me away with how far it's come since its initial release in 2024. The dev team is truly a talented team of incredible people who bust their behinds to deliver a product that is fresh, very active, and has a lot going on for it. Back in 2024, this game came out in early access, and it was lacking in quite a few departments. The world felt largely empty in spite of its already impressive size, and the grindy aspects that most survival crafters fall into were very present. There were plenty of bugs and jank that added charm to the game, for me, personally, in spite of some of them being particularly frustrating to deal with at times. The team listened to the community and worked to eliminate a significant portion of these bugs from the game. If you were to play this game for the very first time today, and weren't around to experience it back in 2024, I would honestly be INCREDIBLY jealous of you. This game has been a wild rollercoaster from start to finish. This game is the very first game that has ever gotten me to be fond of the creature collector genre. I was a kid who didn't grow up with the privileges of experiencing these kinds of games, or most popular pieces of media. It has been a LONG time since I've been excited for a game to release on any platform, and Palworld is the first game in about a decade to make me feel that childlike excitement again. Watching this game go from a somewhat rough early access release with the sparkles of a hidden gem in 2024, to a full-fledged, polished moissanite **** has been a truly incredible spectacle to witness. It is a game that I feel truly unashamed to talk about or praise. They've addressed and changed so much about the game since its initial release and improved significantly upon each and every facet I feel I took issue with in prior versions. Each pal feels so unique, and has their own personality that varies widely from pal to pal, there are many unique interactions between them and NPCs and even them and other pals in the world. There is a lot to do and see and discover. If you haven't picked this game yet or are on the fence about buying it, absolutely buy it and try it out. You will sink SO much time into it, and the world feels so much more alive now than it ever used to in the past. I can't wait to see what the amazing dev team has planned for further updates. »

« Overall Palworld has been both an incredible journey and a phenomenal game to enjoy. It takes the best elements of both the Survival Crafting genre and the Creature Collector genre and combines them into one in such a way that every single pal feels unique and useful in some fashion especially after all the overhauls that 1.0 has given the game Breeding feels more enjoyable now and requires some actual effort to be able to breed ultra strong pals while also giving players the freedom to experiment and just see what happens should they choose. The Base mechanics have been touched up to have a more even Work Suitability progression for each and every pal alongside there being more resources to craft in order to progress alongside the wide array of base pieces you can use to make just about any kind of structure or base setup you want including but not limited to Pyramids, Japanese style Shrines and Villages, Rust-esque metallic shacks, and even medieval castles among many others so long as you have a modicum of creativity. The Pals themselves feel wonderful both from a worker standpoint to deal with Production but also as mounts, supporters such as Pals that boost stats just by being in your part, and also combat pals that can use a wide array of moves even if the Skill doesn't fit the Pal type. Exploration is what really gets my love though, prior to release exploration was there but there was largely no reason to go out of your way to discover things when you could just fly around and night and pinpoint Lifmunk Effigies from the sky but now there's many added easter eggs, new Ruins and mini-games that give schematics, and watch towers that speed up the un-fogging of the world map alongside so many new pals to discover even in zones that have been around since the game launched into Early Access. The Boss Fights and progression are fantastic too, Tower Bosses now feel more cinematic due to the unique background of each tower along with Raid bosses now being in an enclosed raiding space so you don't completely destroy a base just to farm an egg from a raid boss. Overall Palworld 1.0 is everything I wanted it to be and more from various Quality of Life improvements to overhauls, touch-ups, and brand new mechanics added into the game alongside the wide variety of pals. Don't listen to the review bombing folks, if you like Rust, Ark and other Survival Crafting games then give this a try. If you like Pokemon, Tem-Tem, or Digimon also give it a try. »

« It's fun to watch the defeated Pals roll down hills, especially the spherically shaped Pals. Very swag game, very gnar, will recommend to a loved one. »

« Palworld's full release feels like a game built around a virality rather than a compelling long-term experience. The novelty of catching Pals fades quickly, leaving repetitive grinding, a lifeless open world, and shallow progression. Combat lacks depth, exploration rarely rewards curiosity, and the survival mechanics never evolve into anything meaningful. Even at 1.0, the game still feels unfinished in key areas, with systems that don't come together into a satisfying whole. What starts as an interesting premise ends up feeling repetitive and directionless after the first several hours. A flashy idea that couldn't deliver a memorable game. »

« Un gioco semplice piacevole con le sue problematiche e le sue imperfezioni ma che in questi anni di Early access si è fatto amare e ora che è arrivata la versione completa è un titolo che riesce a farsi pregio di tutto ciò che aveva attirato il suo pubblico, le sue meccaniche, le sue creature (particolari) e in generale il suo gameplay stratificato ma divertente l'hanno reso un titolo di assoluto divertimento per quanto non brilli per originalità. 8/10 »
