Otome Daoshi: Fighting for Love, développé par Otomate et édité par Idea Factory et Aksys Games, est un visual novel otome sorti sur Nintendo Switch le 26 septembre 2024. Le jeu plonge le joueur dans le pays de Kayuu, une nation prospère et fervente de arts martiaux où seul le plus fort acquiert statut et renom. Alors qu'un tournoi doit désigner l'homme le plus puissant du pays, une jeune apprentie taoïste, d'abord impatiente de voir son ami d'enfance y participer, se voit confier par hasard la mission de protéger la nation, ce qui questionne son destin et l'avenir du pays. La presse a salué un titre visuellement impressionnant tout en regrettant, selon RPG Fan, un récit et des mécaniques peinant à se démarquer dans un genre saturé, et Siliconera a jugé l'intrigue moins palpitante que prévu pour un otome martial, tout en notant la présence de routes romantiques.

Given the genre’s high competition, Otome Daoshi is best considered as a secondary choice rather than a must-play title. »
« While Otome Daoshi: Fighting for Love’s story isn’t as exciting as I expected a martial arts otome game to be, there are some romantic routes here. Playing it safe isn’t a bad thing, though it does mean it might feel a little more predictable than other titles in the genre. I wish it featured some quality of life titles from other Otomate titles. However, the way it does go with the theme and include the same sort of ambiance and elements as martial arts anime and manga is a nice touch. »
