NCAA Football 06 est un jeu vidéo de sport de football américain universitaire développé par EA Orlando et publié par EA Sports. Sorti le 11 juillet 2005 sur PlayStation 2 et Xbox, il succède à NCAA Football 2005 au sein de la série NCAA Football. L'ancien joueur vedette des Michigan Wolverines et lauréat du trophée Heisman, Desmond Howard, figure sur la couverture du jeu. Dernier joueur de Michigan en 1991, Howard est le seul athlète à avoir été choisi pour une jaquette sans avoir joué l'année précédant la sortie de l'opus concerné. Le titre se distingue également en étant, selon les données connues jusqu'en 2013, le seul jeu de la série à proposer une bande-son musicale, les autres se contentant d'hymnes universitaires et de morceaux de fanfare, et le dernier à inclure les équipes de la FCS (Division 1-AA).
Concernant l'accueil critique, la presse a salué la qualité du titre. Ainsi, GameSpy a déclaré : « If you're a college football fan, NCAA Football 06 is the game you've been waiting for your whole life. It might even be the best football game ever made, prof… », tandis que Console Gameworld a estimé : « The complete package - high replay value, amazing graphics, and more realistic gameplay make this a superstar hit. » NCAA Football 06 obtient un score agrégé de 83,31.
