Gamezebo 90/100

« Mario Kart Tour isn’t perfect, but it is Nintendo’s best offering on mobile yet, and one that manages to completely avoid pay to win in the freemium space. That’s pretty commendable stuff. »

GameGrin 80/100

« Mario Kart Tour makes a surprisingly fantastic mobile game because of the tons of items to collect, the fun gameplay loop, and the short but sweet matches! »

3DJuegos 75/100

« Mario Kart Tour has an imprecise control, difficult to master, but if you manage to cope with it you will find an addictive video game »

Nintendo Life 70/100

« Get used to Mario Kart Tour’s unconventional control system and ignore its overpriced and unnecessary subscription service and you’re left with a fun, free mobile take on the series. It was never going to replace Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but by not including an energy system and promising regular new content Nintendo is at least offering a decent alternative to pass the time when you’re out and about without your Switch. »

Gameblog.fr 70/100

« Mario Kart Tour turns toward a larger than ever audience with an even more accessible formula, free to play. But it was deeply tweaked through both gameplay and economic models, which results in an overall hazardous experience with imprecise controls, battle scoring oriented races and competition geared by equipment collection, hence micropayments with shamefully randomized (and time limited) gains. As fun as it can be, this mobile episode looks like a superficial entry into the series, still driving at full speed only on consoles. »

Game Revolution 70/100

« This is some of the most fast-paced, frenetic Mario Kart action ever, but only to those who subscribe to its gold pass. For everyone else, this is still a surprisingly inventive spin-off, but one that also feels undermined by greed. »

Pocket Gamer UK 70/100

« Monetization really does stand out as being greedy and egregious, but it can't mask what is an otherwise fun adaptation of the Mario Kart formula on mobile. »

Everyeye.it 70/100

« Whether in line at the airport or waiting for the doctor, the desire to take a ride on the track will not fail. A little more care and foresight from the Kyoto House would have been enough and Fire Emblem Heroes would have had a worthy rival in their stable. »

« A very poor mario kart, but a fine enough mobile game, the game is somewhat fun when you get to play it but after the tour ends YOU HAVE TO UPDATE THE GAME AGAIN, AND AFTER YOU UPDATE IT, which btw, TAKES LIKE 7 MINUTES TO LOAD THE STUPID GAME, and at that point I DON’T CARE TO PLAY ANYMORE, the game also used to be full of micro transactions which were a SCAM, the game is ALRIGHT when you get to play, key word, WHEN YOU GET TO, this game is not great and it is LUCKY to get a 5, take it as a blessing, oh yeah I forgot good luck getting good characters and karts and gliders, haha GOOD LUCK »

« The game is great itself, but let's talk mainly about the disadvantages: 1- There is the 200cc mode, but you have to PAY to get it, which is kind of a party pooper. 2- It has fallen in foreigness, at least for me. 3- There are way too many courses to take on. 4- It need updates once in a while (each 2 weeks) But if you want a mobile game that has the flavor of Mario Kart every time you go out? Try it! It's good if you just want a quick game in the public transport. »

« In my opinion, it's a good game to play, it's free, and it's even less annoying than the Mario Kart games on consoles. The only downside is that, for example, to get more points for ranked matches, you need the gold pass, and that's paid. »

« Los gráficos no compensan el que este sea un juego completamente incómodo... Controles raros, Pay to fast, entre otros aspectos... Aveces hay eventos interesantes, pero aun asi, sigue teniendo lo que es para mi, el sistema mas feo en cuanto a manejo y victorias (el sistema de puntos), tal vez lo unico que me causó curiosidad en el buen aspecto, fue su sistema de ligas (Aunque sigue siendo algo bastante negativo, si es que no tienes buenos personajes y karts) »

« The most popular mobile game, with 120 million of downloads! It allows to play Mario Kart on cell phone :-) »

Glurper48 8/10

« Man, this Mario Kart is not the worst one like everyone says! The controls are your finger, 100s of characters is awesome, and I like racking up a ton of points to get a high score! As long as you avoid microtransactions, it’s a good game! »

WeegeeTime 3/10

« A lot of people really enjoy this game and say that is a mainline Mario Kart. I'm not one of those people. This game is straight out not fun. The controls aren't responsive most of the times, the graphics obviously are worse compare to other Mario Karts, and the microtransactions really show how Nintendo is money-hungry sometimes. Yeah, the game is free to play, but sometimes in order to progress you just have to spend real money, which is just dumb. My biggest critc with this game is that you can't choose which tracks you want to play, because thanks to the "Tour system" you can only play the tracks Nintendo wanted you to play that week. This is honestly one of the worst Mario Karts ever, so I just can't recommend installing this game. »
