Dans leurs critiques de cette version, le magazine 1UP a salué les Slop Bowls couverts de boue, les lignes de touche animées et la physionomie variée des joueurs, estimant que le titre a enfin atteint la cible vidéo next-gen d'EA, tandis que G4 TV a loué la nouvelle équipe de commentateurs, les replays Backtrack, la bande-son et les graphismes améliorés pour le surplus de réalisme qu'ils procurent.

Id rather spend less money to buy the game on my psp and lose the commentary of chris and be a pro mode. The franchise mode also stinks and I can go online with my psp.
