There's a wildly obscure easter egg in Lego Batman, I'm surprised anyone found it: it's hidden in BASIC code for the Commodore 64

Lego Batman, like all Lego games, is absolutely loaded with references and easter eggs. As well as recreating memorable scenes from the Dark Knight's storied history, it is packed with geeky, niche in-jokes. One such easter egg requires a Commodore 64 to actually make sense of... Read more.

CGMagazine 100/100

« LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the best love letter to Batman we’ve ever seen. The way it handles the history of the World's Greatest Detective is incredible. With great combat mechanics, a fun and fantastical story that gives the cornerstone eras their turn, this is, hands down, the best LEGO game to date. »

« LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is impossible to put down. It manages to imbue the intensity of Gotham with just the right level of whimsy and humour. The game’s perfectly crafted open-world and varied mission design don’t simply just make it a blast to play; it also makes the game very good value for money, and that goes a long way these days. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight deserves to stand proud as one of the best games of 2026 and within LEGO and Batman’s history. »

Screen Rant 100/100

« The end result is a fun, funny, and self-aware homage to the Dark Knight that is equal parts LEGO wackiness and phenomenal Batman Arkham successor. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of the best LEGO games of all time. Heck, it might just be THE best LEGO game ever. And it'll certainly give your favorite Arkham game a run for its money. »

« I enjoyed this game but it wasn’t the most special game I’ve played. I grew up enjoying Lego games so it was fun to revisit the genre and it felt very nostalgic. My main issue with the game is the combat, it feels very generic compared to other games in the genre, and the story was nothing special. I enjoyed the game for sure, but did I love it no.. I think if they added a higher difficulty level than the highest “dark knight” difficulty it would be better. I know it’s supposed to appeal to all ages but it just felt to easy. »

Artin01 9/10

« LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight offers a fun mix of action, humor, and puzzle-solving. The game captures the charm of the LEGO series while bringing Batman's iconic world to life with colorful environments and entertaining **** gameplay is easy to learn and enjoyable for players of all ages. Exploring levels, collecting hidden items, and switching between different characters keeps the experience fresh. The lighthearted humor and cooperative gameplay make it especially fun to play with friends or family.Although the game may not be very challenging for experienced players, its creative level design and classic LEGO style make it an enjoyable adventure. »

« For a kids' game in tone and gameplay, this is a surprisingly well-crafted love letter to the Dark Knight. Way too much unnecessary crap littered around the map, but overall a delightful little experience. »

YoutubeMrOTTN 10/10

« Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is easily one of the best Batman games we've gotten in years. It captures everything that makes Batman great while adding the charm, humor, and creativity that Lego games are known for. Whether you're a longtime Batman fan or just enjoy fun action-adventure games, there's a lot to love here. The main story took me around 15 hours to complete, and it felt like the perfect length. It never dragged on, and there was always something exciting around the corner. Even after the credits rolled, Gotham was still packed with collectibles, side missions, challenges, secrets, and plenty of content to keep me coming back. The game features a huge roster of characters, over 100 outfits to unlock, and co-op play, making it just as fun with a friend as it is solo. On PS5 Pro, it ran flawlessly in 4K at 60 FPS with smooth performance and impressive visuals throughout the entire experience. What impressed me most is how well the game balances being family-friendly while still offering enough depth and fan service for adult Batman fans. You can tell the developers have a real love for Batman and understood exactly what makes both Batman and Lego games so enjoyable. If you're looking for a polished, content-packed Batman adventure, this is an easy recommendation. It's one of the best Lego games ever made and one of the best Batman games in recent years. « LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight ReviewThe first thing that came to mind when I started seeing clips of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight online was pure nostalgia. It honestly took me right back to being a kid. When I first heard about the game, though, I wasn't exactly blown away. My first thought was, "Okay, another LEGO Batman game. What's so special about this one?"Now, unlike a lot of Batman fans, I never actually played the older LEGO Batman games. Most of my Batman gaming experience comes from Rocksteady's Arkham series. I've played a few LEGO games over the years, and while they're usually fun and packed with humor, they were never games I rushed out to buy. I always enjoyed them, but I never really felt like they were must-play experiences. Then I started seeing footage of this **** more I watched, the more interested I got. Seeing all these classic Batman moments recreated in LEGO form hit me right in the nostalgia, and before I knew it, I was genuinely excited to jump ****, does Batman save Gotham from some of its most dangerous villains, or should he have stayed in the Batcave? Let's talk about it.StoryOne thing you should know right away is that this isn't one big original Batman story. Instead, it's basically Batman's greatest hits all rolled into one **** Games takes moments from a bunch of Batman movies and TV shows and mixes them together into six chapters. You'll see stuff from Batman Begins, Batman 1989, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman: The Animated Series, and even the classic Adam West Batman show from the 1960s.Honestly, I kind of liked this approach. Instead of spending a lot of time on story setup, the game focuses on the big action scenes and memorable moments people actually remember. The chapters move at a pretty quick pace, which makes sense because the game is clearly trying to appeal to younger players while still giving longtime Batman fans plenty of **** you work your way through the game, you'll come up against some of Batman's biggest villains including Joker, Bane, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Red Hood, Ra's al Ghul, Talia al Ghul, and Penguin. Each chapter also pairs Batman with a different partner. You start with Talia al Ghul, then Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Batgirl, and finally **** if you know me, you'll know Nightwing showing up was an instant win. He's my favorite character in the entire DC universe, so having him play a major role in the final chapter was awesome. Each partner has their own unique abilities and gadgets, which helps keep things feeling fresh throughout the **** best way I can describe the story is Batman's greatest hits with a LEGO twist. It's not groundbreaking, but it's fun, nostalgic, and exactly what I was hoping for.GameplayProbably the biggest surprise for me was how different the gameplay feels compared to older LEGO games.Instead of being completely linear, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight gives you an open-world Gotham City to explore. And honestly, if you've played Batman: Arkham Knight, you're going to notice the inspiration **** can drive the Batmobile, glide across Gotham, grapple between rooftops, and head straight for the next mission—or get completely distracted by side content like I did. Most missions start either in the Batcave or at the Bat-Signal on top of Gotham City Police Headquarters. The Batcave acts as your main hub where you can upgrade gadgets, unlock abilities using Wayne Tech Caches, buy new suits for Batman and the rest of the Bat-Family, and even decorate parts of the Batcave. Then there's the **** second I started fighting enemies, I immediately noticed something familiar. The free-flow combat system from the Arkham games is here, and honestly, it works way better than I expected in a LEGO **** can chain together attacks, counters, takedowns, and gadgets just like in Arkham. And once I found out that some former Rocksteady developers worked on the game, a lot of things suddenly made **** influence is everywhere.Boss fights are also a lot of fun. Some villains like Mr. Freeze, Bane, and Talia al Ghul require you to actually use gadgets and mechanics instead of just punching them until the fight ends. That said, by the end of the game, some of the boss encounters do start feeling a little repetitive because you begin to recognize the patterns pretty quickly.Outside of combat, you'll spend your time platforming, solving simple puzzles, smashing everything in sight for studs, and hunting down collectibles.Every level is packed with hidden items like Wayne Tech Caches, Red Bricks, and mission-specific collectibles. If you're someone who likes collecting everything, you'll have plenty to **** partner system also plays a pretty important role. Each companion has abilities you'll need to progress, and you can switch between Batman and your partner whenever you want. When you're not doing story mission »

« LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of the most enjoyable and generous LEGO games I have played. It feels like a true celebration of Batman, mixing the spirit of the Arkham games with the humor, accessibility, and creativity that define the LEGO **** biggest strength of the game is how much it respects the Batman universe. Movies, comics, iconic villains, gadgets, suits, vehicles, and references are everywhere, but the game never feels like a simple checklist. It understands why Batman is such a beloved character and turns that legacy into a fun, family-friendly **** gameplay is also very satisfying. The Arkham-inspired combat is smoother, more accessible, and perfectly adapted to a LEGO game. It is not difficult, but it is fun, fluid, and constantly rewarding. Gadgets, character switching, puzzles, exploration, and collectibles all work together to create a very pleasant rhythm.Gotham is generous and full of things to do. Whether you follow the main story or simply explore the open world, there is always a secret, a character, a challenge, or a small activity waiting somewhere. The co-op mode is also a major strength, making the whole adventure even more enjoyable when played with someone **** LEGO humor works extremely well here. The game manages to parody Batman’s darker moments without disrespecting the character. It is funny, charming, and accessible to all ages, while still being filled with details that longtime fans will **** is not perfect. Some levels can feel repetitive, a few puzzles are predictable, and the structure remains very familiar for a LEGO game. Playing solo can also make certain sequences feel slightly longer than they should. But these issues never seriously hurt the **** the end, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a fantastic Batman game and one of the strongest LEGO adventures. It does not replace the Arkham series, but it offers something different: a joyful, generous, and lovingly crafted tribute to the Dark Knight. »

Eshaan12345667 8/10

« It provides what it offers, a fun and a humuorus journey which includes some iconic and remarkable scenes, though the game is compromised hugely due to its age barrier as it mostly targets the kids section but over all a solid 3.75/5. »
