Lake Masters EX
Certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont toutefois nuancé l'expérience, notant que Lake Masters EX « may not be the most in depth game of the PS2 era, nor may it have the most diverse gameplay » tout en suggérant qu'il compense ces limites par ailleurs.

« Lake Masters EX may not be the most in depth game of the PS2 era, nor may it have the most diverse gameplay-however it can be suggested that it makes up for this with its charm and the addicting nature of its quite basic gameplay. As far as fishing games of this era go, Lakemasters almost surely takes the cake for being the most quirky and notable thanks to its upbeat and catchy music, as well as its over enthusiastic energy it sets when you catch a fish. This game almost serves as a time capsule for an age of gaming that has long passed. The Gameplay at its very foundation is very basic, the aim is to catch fish and weigh in with the best maximum weight possible, in hopes of gaining first place in tournaments and winning prizes such as new lures and even a private lake that you can upgrade over time and fill with your own fish that you catch during casual fishing sessions. The selection of fish and maps is quite small, being limited to 4 maps, and only having 4 types of 'Bass' to catch on your sessions, however this doesn't take too much away from the general enjoyment of the game, as the main pull of this game is drawn from its gameplay and reward for investment of time (i.e expanding your private lake or gaining better lures) This review rating isn't to be necessarily compared to all games of this era, but rather to be compared to other games of its genre (Fishing Games), This is being said as not everybody enjoys fishing games, however if you are a fan of this genre, i heavily recommend this game as it can be a fun and **** time for those looking for a quick session of fishing! »
