« A great approach to fitness that feels fresh and easy to fit into a busy schedule. Could have more variation in on-screen places and characters to help escapism. »

« Knockout Home Fitness is what it says on the box: A martial arts move training game. It is, in my opinion, not a full-fledged fitness program. Yes, there are daily sessions composed by an AI, but these mainly target the arm and torso muscles. But if you use Knockout Home Fitness as a daily reminder to stretch in your home office and improve circulation, it is perfect. »

« Knoutout Home Fitness is one of the more enjoyable exercise games in existence. It doesn’t require much in terms of set up or prior training, just enter some user information and start punching those calories away. Realistically Knockout Home Fitness isn’t going to get any of its players ripped, but it’s a fun way to get in a cardio workout. It’s low impact enough where it can be used daily to get some exercise in, or for people who view cardio as a necessary evil it can be something used three times a week to meet that requirement. »

« The true yardstick by which an exercise game should be measured is whether or not it was effective in getting players off the couch and into physical activity; I think it’s safe to say that Knockout Home Fitness clears the mark. Its short but intense sessions are appealing to those who, like me, struggle to commit to cardio; after only 15 minutes each day, you really do feel like you’ve gotten in a good workout. While I do wish it better instructed players on form and stretching, its rhythm-based mechanics make martial arts-based exercise fun and, dare I say, addicting. If you’re ready to jumpstart your fitness journey but don’t know where to begin, Knockout Home Fitness will absolutely get you going on the right track. »

« Knockout Home Fitness is fairly simple when it comes to content and presentation, but there’s everything here you need for a great workout. The exercise regimes it has you completing are energetic, fun, and really do work up a sweat. It’s easy enough to follow along even if you’re a complete beginner, and the fact that you can tailor your daily workout to suit you is a nice touch. If you’re looking for a video game to help you get in shape, this is a fine choice. »

« Knockout Home Fitness is a fun game that does exactly what it sets out to do. If you use this game as its intended, then it can aid you in achieving your fitness goals. »

« Knockout Home Fitness has a clear objective and target audience: this is a game for people looking to get in shape that replicates a workout routine with a personal trainer. It never really pretends to be much more, like an addictive video game. That will be fine for many people, but if you’re hoping for more, Ring Fit Adventure is still the undisputed champ. »

Gamer Escape 70/100

« Knockout Home Fitness is a mostly well-built fitness game that, when played as intended at least, I definitely feel offers an effective workout routine and is fun and engaging. It’s not trying to be a game like Ring Fit Adventure, but that’s fine; for what it is, it does a good job of it. However, the game’s weakness lies in its apparent failure to make full use of the available technology of the Nintendo Switch system. Because of this, the game has to simply trust that you’re doing everything when it calculates your calories burned. For most people, I admit this won’t be a problem, since anyone who buys this is probably interested in getting an actual workout rather than cheating it. But the game could have definitely benefited from tech that it didn’t fully utilize. Knockout Home Fitness is both effective and reasonably fun in spite of this, so it is recommendable as long as you approach it as the fitness program it is supposed to be. »

« Ok, I love this one. Yes it's a bit rough on the edges, but ****'s the perfect companion to all the other fitness apps. It's a whole body rhythm game and it will make you move and sweat! I remember Fitness Boxing 1 and it was about equally rough, yet it gave you a good workout. This is that. I hope the developer will keep improving the formula, this is great!!! It's in my daily workout routine along with FB 2 now, perfect companions! »

« Knockout Home Fitness gets a 6 purely due to the fact that it accomplishes its goal of being entertaining enough that it will bring the player back to keep working out. However, compared to something within the same type of game like Fitness Boxing, it is inferior as far as features and ease of playing. Knockout Home Fitness does not provide any tutorials for new moves--you're just thrown into the exercise and presented with one and expected to immediately follow along with the model. This makes doing exercises with the proper form difficult. I was already familiar with the basic punches from Fitness Boxing, but when they got into things like 2 handed strikes I was at a complete loss as to what exactly I was supposed to do. The game also doesn't provide a lot of customization as far as your daily personal training. Up to half an hour of exercise a day is healthy--why does the game think that two 4 minute exercises is enough for a full daily workout? This is in contrast to Fitness Boxing which provides detailed lessons on new movements before they show up in exercises, as well as the ability to go back to look at and practice those moves, a far more customizable daily workout, and a UI that's easier to follow as far as using your left vs. right. Knockout is definitely better in terms of having more variety in its workouts, but if you have the choice, Fitness Boxing is a superior exercise game in just about every other way (to say nothing of Ringfit). »
