Hill Climb Racing 2, développé et publié par Fingersoft, est sorti le 28 novembre 2016 sur Android et iOS. Ce jeu de course arcade, fonctionnant sous le moteur Cocos2d, propose une expérience de conduite où le joueur peut piloter des véhicules tels que la Motocross, la Hill Climber ou la Formula, auxquels s'ajoutent vingt-cinq autres modèles incluant le Hoverbike et le Rock Bouncer. Le titre est distribué via le Microsoft Store et est gratuit avec des achats intégrés optionnels. La presse a salué la qualité de cette suite, Multiplayer.it la décrivant comme « un excellent sequel et une entrée très compétente dans ce genre de jeu de course particulier », tandis que Gamezebo a relevé le mélange entre le lancer de véhicules du premier opus et le plaisir de battre d'autres joueurs. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic expriment en revanche des regrets, qualifiant le jeu de « half-baked » avec bugs et système payant agressif, ou regrettant la présence de lootboxes au détriment d'une bonne suite. L'agrégat de notes du titre s'élève à 72,07.

« I do love playing this game but there are a couple **** that is really annoying is sometimes when playing especially the challenges that cost diamonds to play the vehicle will flip in a position that it cant be righted and it wastes all the rest of your time it cost to much to play to deal with that! One other is losing a credit to play when its a free one for no reason?? Dont get it. However its still a really fun game! »
« The bonus /challenges are hard to claim, half the time it throws you out of the game, rather than awarding you the bonus. Very frustrating, enough to make you quit it all together. Fix It. I wrote the previous review a month ago, it is still not fixed. Half the challenges it won't let you claim, or the film they make you watch to continue, because you won't buy anything, won't let you **** have to go and physically manage apps and force stop and then launch app again. FIX IT »
« this game is one of the better mobile games out there, sure there are micro transactions but that common place now for games like these, the other players are obviously bots but for some reason the game still requires wifi, thats pretty much my only critique. the adventure mode completely murders the need for the first game where that was the only mode in that game. pretty alright »
