High School Musical Makin' the Cut! est un jeu de musique édité par Buena Vista Games et sorti sur Nintendo DS le 14 septembre 2007. Le titre permet au joueur de parcourir les États-Unis en incarnant l'un des six personnages de High School Musical ou en créant un nouveau protagoniste. La presse a salué son aspect divertissant, comme l'a relevé IGN qui a jugé le jeu amusant malgré la simplicité graphique, un mode histoire court et un gameplay limité, tandis que VideoGamer a souligné qu'il s'adresse avant tout aux amateurs de jeux type SingStar. « At the end of the day, if you're not a fan of the SingStar games, then this is NOT for you. But if you like to swap your joypad for a microphone every now and then, and you don't mind tackling some highly cheesy tunes (many of which you'll find yourself humming for weeks to come - they really are that catchy) then you really should give this a chance. »
