High School Musical 2: Work This Out! est sorti le 7 mai 2008 sur Nintendo DS. Développé et édité par Disney Interactive, ce jeu de musique permet de prendre le contrôle d’un personnage de High School Musical pour une aventure dans un resort, en écoutant la musique du film High School Musical 2.
L’accueil critique s’est révélé peu enthousiaste, avec une note agrégée de 40. Da Gameboyz estime ainsi que les joueurs ayant connu les précédents épisodes sur DS pourraient être déçus par celui-ci. Nintendo Gamer, dans son numéro de juillet 2008, confie quant à lui avoir pensé qu’il allait pleurer à un moment.
