Description (IGDB)

Grand Theft Auto is the first game in the Grand Theft Auto series and a sandbox-crime game published by Rockstar Games. The original Grand Theft Auto is made up of a series of levels each set in one of the three cities in the game. In each level, the player has a target number of points to achieve, and five lives to attain the score. The score counter doubles as a money meter; the player can spend this money on paint jobs and various other things. However, any money spent is of course taken away from the score, making the goal that little bit further away. On obtaining the target number of points, the player must then drive to a certain location to complete the level, which allows progress to the next one.

Histoire (IGDB)

As an aspiring young thug, your mission in this video game is to perform odd jobs for the mob, picking up points along the way by committing random crimes ranging from auto theft to hit-and-runs to murder.

« Un juego revolucionario para su época que sentó las bases de toda la saga GTA, aunque hoy se siente muy básico comparado con entregas posteriores. Libertad total innovadora. Base del género sandbox. 3 ciudades para explorar. Gameplay caótico y divertido. Puntos débiles: Controles duros. Vista cenital limitada. Sin historia fuerte. Muy envejecido hoy »

« My Review – Grand Theft Auto Advance – 7/10 I gave Grand Theft Auto Advance a 7 out of 10 because, while it’s impressive for a handheld game, it doesn’t quite capture the full freedom and polish of the main GTA titles. The top-down perspective is functional, and the missions are fun, but the world feels smaller and more limited compared to other entries in the series. That said, it’s enjoyable to explore, complete missions, and cause chaos in Liberty City on the go, and it shows the series adapting well to a portable platform. This is why GTA Advance is a 7/10. »

« One of the first games where you played the bad guy. So much fun doing bad things. Cops were insane. Things got out of hand very quickly. »

« The first GTA game I fell in love with. I remember playing it in my cousin house when I was 7 years old, and it was really fun. Only down point is the limitation of the top view, which was a little bit hard to drive in high speeds. »

« Played when I was a kid. It was a revolutionary game for its time. I did not give 10 points because there was no "game saving" :) »

« I like how the game started the whole franchise. But as a game it is not that great but we have to take into account that it came out almost 3 decades ago. I like the fact that the game has a story, but the gameplay is not that good. As much as I tried to relax with the game, I couldn't because I had the most problems with how the game works, that is, if I die, I have a few more lives and then I have to start all over again, and I used to waste several hours there. What I like most about the game is that we go through all 3 cities that will appear later. »

« Malos controles, repetitivo y aburrido. »

« Fun game, with some concepts that limit its possibilities, like the history or missions... Its so difficult to drive fast with 2d view »
