FIFA Soccer 2004
Description (IGDB)
FIFA Football 2004, also known as FIFA Soccer 2004 in North America, is a football video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. It was released in October 2003 with the tagline "Create Brilliance". FIFA Football 2004 is the eleventh game in the FIFA series and the eighth to be in 3D. While not adding much to the engine used in FIFA Football 2003, the biggest new inclusions were secondary divisions, which allow the player to take lower ranked teams to promotion attempts. Gameplay has a new feature dubbed "Off the ball", which allows the control of two players at the same time for greater tactical play. Another key feature was Football Fusion, which allows owners of both FIFA 2004 and Total Club Manager 2004 to play games from the management sim in FIFA. The title sequence was filmed in St James' Park, home of Newcastle United, with the opening song being Kings of Leon's European hit "Red Morning Light". The cover features Alessandro Del Piero of Juventus, Thierry Henry of Arsenal, and Ronaldinho in a Brazil kit.

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« The sensation of FIFA "playing itself" is pretty much gone, and it's clear that the A.I. has been seriously overhauled... If you want to fully immerse yourself in soccer culture, FIFA is pretty incredible. [Dec 2003, p.156] »
« Not to be outdone by "Winning Eleven 6," EA Sports has pulled out all the stops and created a soccer game that is second to none... I dare you to find a soccer game where the ball moves so dynamically and realistically. [Nov 2003, p.108] »
« A solid simulation of the sport that offers more teams and unique options not available in its main and only competitor on the PS2, "Winning Eleven." Some minor control issues remain and the depth is still not where it needs to be, but it delivers a highly worthwhile experience nonetheless. »
« If your a hardcore Konami fan you just might like what's here, especially the cool online play. »
« Something old, something borrowed (liberally, "Pro Evo" fans will scream), and, quite a lot new is the verdict on FIFA 2004. »
« It looks spectacular, it plays well after practice and has options galore, but FIFA 2004 simply isn't a patch on The Other Football Game in terms of recreating the passion, anxiety and pleasures of football. »
« With the addition of PS2 online play and another tightening of the gameplay across the board, who's going to really be a challenge this year? »
« The game isn't the "NBA Jam" of soccer, but the propensity for high-scoring games gives it a different feel from "Winning Eleven." »

« "8.8/10 – FIFA 2004: FIFA 2004 expands the series with the introduction of Off the Ball Control, allowing more tactical creativity and smarter attacking play. Career Mode becomes more developed, giving players greater long-term management depth. While animations and presentation are still limited by the era’s hardware, the gameplay feels more strategic and engaging than previous entries. Overall, it’s a strong and innovative step forward for classic FIFA." »
« Mi primer Fifa y mi primer juego de fútbol , en una época que el pro era muchísimo mejor . Pasable sin mas pero con mucho cariño lo recuerdo . Como ha cambiado las cosas desde entonces . »
