FIFA 2001: Major League Soccer est un jeu de sport développé par EA Canada et édité par Electronic Arts. Sorti le 8 novembre 2000 sur PlayStation, il s'agit d'un portage de l'opus annuel de la série FIFA.
Concernant l'accueil critique, Daily Radar souligne que les joueurs préférant l'aspect arcade rapide de l'épisode précédent peuvent augmenter la vitesse dans les options, tandis que les amateurs d'un jeu plus réfléchi y trouveront leur compte. GamerWeb PC rapporte une forte addictivité, l'auteur ayant joué toute la nuit malgré son manque d'intérêt initial pour le football. Du côté des retours joueurs sur Metacritic, l'expérience au clavier sur PC est jugée excellente mais inférieure à FIFA 99 et FIFA 2000 ; un autre joueur, pour qui c'était le premier contact avec la série, le considère comme l'un des meilleurs malgré des failles permettant de marquer systématiquement avec des joueurs peu habiles.
