Console Creatures 100/100

« I was already excited about Denshattack!, confident that the experience we’d get from Undercoders would be enjoyable. What I wasn’t expecting was one of my favourite games of the year blasting across the screen at full speed. Denshattack! is so much fun to play, a blast to look at and listen to, and entirely original. I never expected to be drifting a train around a tight corner through the streets of Tokyo, but I’m sure glad Denshattack! delivers on that promise. From the creative level designs, to each boss being different than the last, Denshattack! is a creative force that I can’t put down. »

Eurogamer Germany 100/100

« Denshattack! is packed with ideas - more than most video game series' manage to produce during ten iterations. Visually, acoustically and in terms of gameplay this is arcade at its best and one of the best games coming out this year. »

Combo Infinito 100/100

« Denshattack surprises by turning the unlikely idea of train maneuvers into one of the most fun and creative titles of the year. With strong aesthetic inspiration in Persona, impeccable soundtrack and genius boss battles, the game makes up for its indie scale with pure charisma and fluidity. »

Loot Level Chill 95/100

« Denshattack is as compelling as it is ridiculous, with so many mechanics to master, so many rails to grind, and so many trains to flip. »

Digital Chumps 95/100

« If you’re still on the fence about Denshattack!, I’ll leave you with this: Denshattack! is the type of game worth keeping installed on your hard drive. In short bursts, it has just the right amount of high-octane stylish platforming needed for winding down after a long day. In longer-form settings, it rewards those in it for the long haul with exhilarating tricks, multiple forms of mastery, and satisfying high-score chases. It’s a must-play of 2026, especially if you’ve been hankering for a Tony Hawk– or SSX Tricky-inspired locomotive fever dream with outstanding art design and soundtrack. »

Voxel 95/100

« Denshattack is a brilliantly executed, wild concept that stands out as one of the most fun and stylish games of 2026. It delivers gameplay brimming with originality, introducing varied and increasingly engaging mechanics from the start of the campaign to the very end. It is all wrapped in a package featuring a charming cast of characters, stunning visuals, and a flawless soundtrack starring names like Tee Lopes and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi. »

Player 2 91/100

« Proof that Western anime buffs can sometimes pull off the kind of stuff that inspired them with epic flare, Denshattack digs surprisingly deep with its insane premise to deliver a fact paced game of score and style that offers a whiplash inducing tour of sizable swathes of Japan in the process. »

Gamersky 91/100

« Denshattack! remains a tremendously exciting and memorable adventure. Its level design, gameplay ideas, music, and presentation all feel far beyond what one might expect from an indie game. Traces of Jet Set Radio's parkour spirit, the trick-scoring systems of skateboarding games, and the mechanics of numerous classic video games can all be found within it. Most importantly, it turns the seemingly absurd concept of the subway itself doing parkour into an excellent game that is far more than just a joke. »

« C'est mon jeu de l'année ! C'est du pur fun, avec un gameplay qui se renouvelle sans arrêt... Quelle créativité ! Et pour ce prix dérisoire.... Bravo aux devs ! »

AvertAT 10/10

« Every time you think the game cannot possibly get any nuttier, it gets nuttier ****! is one of the most creative, audacious, unique, bold, ambitious, stylish and fun games I have ever played, and it is an extremely addictive and impressive debut indie game. The soundtrack is also spectacular featuring a wide range of musical talent who all bring their all and understood the assignment given to them. The game features 65 levels, all of which are accompanied by their own music track, and they are all fun I recommend it to literally everyone who wants an exhilarating experience My score for the game is a 9.5/10, but Metacritic doesn’t accommodate decimal scores, so I’m rounding up here. My favourite game of the year so far by a wide margin »

« Listen, I'm the kind of gamer who generally steers away from high speed, tricks, combo, and score-based games. I'm just too slow for those. I don't even like the ultra cartoonish art style ! Yet, I came to ****! for the weird concept, expecting a mobile-level cash grab I'd ditch in 20 minutes. How wrong I was. Approachable, fun, generally fair, and in constant mutation, piling up ideas over ideas at a decent pace, the game keeps going crazier and crazier until all hell breaks loose at full speed as we take on an evil corporation hell bent on transforming Japan into a futuristic dystopia. 25h later, playing on keyboard exclusively, I'm debating pursuing those last gold medals I miss or not - all trophies otherwise acquired, all dares ( the mini challenges each tracks feature ) completed, all paints, cars, journal entries acquired. Oh, there are a few issues. Technical issues, mostly. Some collisions behave VERY weirdly. I swear some inputs are eaten ( that may be a windows/keyboard limitation, though ). I even had, once, a situation where the car was stuck and I had to restart. But on the design front, I can't see a fault. Monorails are a bit boring maybe? We could do without all the cutscenes replaying during a boss attack you're replaying to try and get the No Crash dare? Ah well. As Fernando, one of the many very likeable characters Emi, the protagonist, will meet during her journey, says: "And to think this all started because I randomly ordered ramen!". Well : to think I launched the game believing I would laugh at its gimmicky premises, only to find a real little indie gem. »

« I made this account just to review this game. I bought this on a win, wanting a new game to play before Splatoon raiders came out. Decided on **** after hear tons of praise about the game, and oh my, was it worth it. The game might seem like a basic "on rails" game, like the negative are saying (they are trolling, it's nothing like a mobile game), but it is so much more than that. It has tons of fun gimmicks that it introduces throughout the game to keep you constantly interested, tons of unique levels, and overall really fun gameplay. Oh, and it has bosses :) On another note, this game wins soundtrack of the year. It's such a banger ost, with so many great guest artists. I don't think it's really a competition. Such a fun game, would highly recommend. »

TheBigBois 9/10

« ****! is a stylish adrenaline rush that nails the blend of trick-based action and cyberpunk aesthetics in ways most games can’t touch. That’s the TBB Curator blurb, and for once it might be underselling it. This is one of the most confidently weird, mechanically sharp, visually loud games of 2026, and the fact that it’s a trick game about trains is the least interesting thing about it once you’re actually playing.Undercoders took a premise that reads as a joke and built something with real technical depth underneath it. The controls are excellent. The skill ceiling is enormous. The presentation is gorgeous. The bosses are completely unhinged in the best way. The story and characters are better than they had any obligation to be. It runs at 200fps on modest hardware and 60 locked on a Steam Deck. It’s twenty **** boss jank is real and the story runtime is on the shorter side — but this is a score-attack arcade game, and judging it on story length is like judging Tony Hawk on its narrative. The content is in the mastery, and there’s a mountain of **** the trailer looks exciting to you, buy it. That’s the whole recommendation. Almost nobody who’s played this game has come away anything less than delighted, and the ones who list complaints are listing them from the other side of forty hours of medal-chasing. »

« Ritmo apabullante y divertido en los pulgares. Este juego no para de subir y de presentar diseños de mecánicas cada vez más locos. Es impresionante como cada mecánica se acaba convirtiendo en memoria muscular hasta pasar a ser parte de la misma expresión del jugador. »

j008c 10/10

« An idea that am AI could never come up with This game is a love letter to Sega fans. (JSR, Space Channel 5, Crazy Taxi, etc.) Game of The Year for me so far »
