Crossniq+ is a speed-focused, arcade-style puzzle game inspired by "y2k-era" visual design - a tribute to highly polished, small-scope Japanese games from the late 90's. In Crossniq+, the name of the game is re-arranging a grid of tiles to form "crosses" - rows and column of the same color. You can move tiles up, down, left or right - but moving them off the edge of the grid makes them wrap back to the other side, offering a unique and brain-bending challenge. Make crosses quickly and set up multi-crosses to earn bonuses.

In CROSSNIQ+, the name of the game is re-arranging a grid of tiles to form "crosses" - rows and column of the same color. You can move tiles up, down, left or right - but moving them off the edge of the grid makes them wrap back to the other side, offering a unique and brain-bending challenge that's been compared to a mix between matching games and a color cube. Unlike other popular puzzle games, CROSSNIQ+ focuses on speed and technique rather than chains or combos - make crosses quickly and set up multi-crosses to earn bonuses.
In Endless mode, keep making crosses to keep your timer filled - let it hit empty, and your game is over. In Time Attack, your time is a set amount - earn as many points as you can before the buzzer sounds. Play against a friend in Versus, complete with items and special moves... or simply relax to a variety of different, aesthetically striking playfields in Chillout mode, where there's no score, timer, or game overs. No matter your playstyle, there's a mode in CROSSNIQ+ for you!

CROSSNIQ+ 1.3.0 (Versus Update) Changelog
Versus changes: Added knockouts - if you shorten your opponent's time bar section to zero via attacks, they'll immediately lose the round. Added Sudden Death - if both players hold down the Sudden Death button, Sudden Death mode will begin, where Speed Bonuses are easier to achieve and permanent damage buffs are applied. Added Versus Tutorial - A new landing menu has been added to Versus setup, where you can select a new video tutorial for Versus mode. QoL: Control responsiveness enhanced.
CROSSNIQ+ Windows Video Patch Now Available
After the release of CROSSNIQ+, we've received reports from a small number of Windows users that video backgrounds are not appearing during play in CROSSNIQ+. This is due to an as-of-yet unidentified compatibility issue, most likely between user video decoding chipsets and Unity's H264 codec implementation - a problem beyond our direct control. However, after some testing, we've released an optional standalone patch installer for users experiencing these issues which has fixed the problem for all test users. Download the patch installer here. Make sure to follow the instructions in the readme file, and please reach out to us if your video issues persist. Also, a reminder that this patch is for Windows users only.
