Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex

« Any Crash Bandicoot fan would be a fool not to go out and buy this game. I started playing at 2am one night and did not stop until three in the afternoon! »
« We could [have] really enjoyed this game however after a while it just gets too repetitive and frustrating to play for more than 30 minutes. »
« If platform-hopping and coin-collection isn't your bag, you'll want to avoid Crash before he gets on your last nerve. »
« The graphics and sound are excellent, but the most constricting drawback is the extremely long gameplay-disrupting load times. »
« The non-stop action can get a bit repetitive and ultimately tiresome, and the sound effects may begin to wear on the nerves after a few hours of playing. »
« A decent playing and pretty looking Crash Bandicoot game. It's nothing terribly special, but it's not bad, not bad at all. »
« The control is tight, the graphics don't look too shabby, and the sub-stages that break up the platforming action are second-to-none. »
« When the strongest feeling I get from a game is the desire to play its predecessors, something's not quite right. [Dec 2001, p.162] »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« Basically, I feel like this game reuses a lot of elements from Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2: Cortex Strikes Back and 3: Warped. I bought it back then because I wanted to play a Crash Bandicoot game during the Nintendo GameCube era. »
« This is my second crash game ever and I can tell you it’s not the best but it’s still good I love how fun the music it and crunch as a character but it adds way to much vechile levels to truly show it’s spark and I love the edition of the new coco level and it being a little more open it’s good but not perfect »
« i dont know why all reviews are negative about this game its just gives you all the things that you want as a crash classic fan or as aplatformer game, jumping, hitting , you can also controlle a ball in a juggle, using a jet playing in snow and hell and the desert but the negative thing about this game that she has a lot of technical problems »
« Definitely a slept on title, all the levels have unique designs, as oppose to crash 3 which repeats a lot of the same level core designs, very under appreciated title and upon replay is one of the better crash games »
« [SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.] »
« Entertaining game and deeply nostalgic for some (it was my first Crash game), but up against the original trilogy it stumbles in many notable ways that makes the game well-intentioned, but spikes between too difficult or too easy from level to level make Wrath of Cortex feel like it needed some extra polish to make it even close to Crash Bandicoot 3’s level of polish. Traveler’s Tales, TT, did a good job evoking some of Naughty Dog’s game design philosophy, though the whole ‘it’s done to continue the franchise forward rather than innovate’ thing does become telling with some rinse-and-repeat design choices. All that said, TT showed with this game they CAN continue what someone else started. They could ‘carry someone else’s baton’ if necessary. Wrath of Cortex is a flawed classic you could say. Playable but a tad spotty. Frustrating but only so much that you still feel the need to continue playing. Crash Bandicoot is definitely one of gaming’s most tried franchises, and as of 2025 it’s still going strong with speed runners and the remakes of the trilogy. »
« It's crash 3 warped but a downgrade in everyway it had some few cool level and music but not that good of crash game »
