Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

« Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered When is the rest coming? This is were COD peaked for me on every front, campaign, multiplayer and spec ops. So I remember when I’ve read this remaster would come out the next day, I was so hyped! Especially since I adored the previous remaster but all that slightly faded away when I learned they’d cut 2/3 of the main game and only remaster the campaign. No 7-12-25 killstreaks for me this time I have so many fond memories of the multiplayer section of MW 2 and this was COD at it’s peak for me like I’ve said. Going from 3 attachments to lots more, same with the killstreaks, amazing maps,… So I was so disappointed to learn that they would not remaster this part of the game. Even more because they did the effort for COD 4. It had something to do with ‘not wanting to split the player base’. Still seems better to have your players on any Activision game instead of them running to other games because of what COD is becoming in this day and age. Putting the cherry on the cake Yet what the remaster did contain is one of the best campaigns in COD history. The set pieces, characters, sounds,… I find almost everything really breathtaking (especially for its time of OG release) and at moments really got goosebumps. They did another and even better job on remastering this compared to COD4 with the addition of small things, expanding some areas and moments. The graphics are very good and the gameplay feels very solid. Move like a marine! I once again played it on veteran and have to say that it felt more ‘realistic’ compared to previous entry. The enemies still have aimbot but not as bad, the flinch when hit isn’t as bad and the game is more forgiving. Apart from the mission ‘Loose Ends’ where you have to download something with your own local internet, followed by running by tons of enemies on a timer and no cover at all. I got checkpoint locked at some point so I got quite frustrated but that was honestly the only frustration I had this time. You were able now to take your time, plan your advancements and really adapt a tactical gameplay style. Conclusion The biggest shame of this remaster is once again to not include the other 2 modes but then again it still is a blast to play trough this and I really can’t get enough of this game. I think if they were to remaster the multiplayer part or MW 3 maybe their eyes would open to what their true player base really want and stop trying to imitate Fortnite. Had a blast and Definity recommend this to any OG COD lover.
