Sorti le 30 octobre 2007, Ben 10: Protector of Earth est un jeu d'aventure développé par High Voltage Software et édité par D3Publisher sur PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable et Wii. Le titre place le joueur dans la peau de Ben Tennyson, le jeune héros de la série animée de Cartoon Network, qui doit utiliser les pouvoirs de l'Omnitrix — cet artefact fixé à son poignet — pour se transformer en l'un de cinq extraterrestres emblématiques. À travers ces transformations, le joueur affronte divers ennemis, résout des énigmes et relève des défis variés dans le but de sauver le monde.
Côté réception, le jeu a obtenu une note agrégée de 68,54. La presse spécialisée a globalement salué une première incursion honorable dans le jeu vidéo pour la licence. IGN a ainsi souligné que le titre « fait beaucoup de choses correctement pour une première tentative », louant un « gameplay de base rapide et amusant ». De son côté, GameZone a qualifié l'œuvre de « premier effort plutôt décent » de la part de l'éditeur pour retranscrire l'univers complexe de la série. Du côté des joueurs, les avis sur Metacritic mettent en avant la nostalgie, la variété des coups et les combats de boss intégrant des phases d'action chronométrée (QTE), tout en regrettant parfois un roster d'extraterrestres trop limité.

« It does a ton of things right in its first gaming attempt, and while we couldn’t care less about the license itself the core gameplay is fast and fun, there’s some depth in the 80+ unlockable combos and five fighters, and the LEGO Star Wars-inspired “pop in, pop out” two player mode makes this one great for the younger crowd. »

« Muito bom mesmo. Uma variedade de golpes, boss fights com quick time events muito bons (na minha opiniao) e CLARO, a nostalgia. Poderia ter mais aliens, e mais golpes. Mas acho que o jogo ficaria bem pesadinho, mesmo assim é um jogo rápido. Se pegar pra spammar o armageddon do chama, zera em papo de 3-4 horas. »
