B-Project: Ryuusei Fantasia
B-Project: Ryuusei Fantasia est un jeu vidéo de simulation et de visual novel musical, sorti le 30 septembre 2021. Il s'agit de la première aventure console de la franchise B-Project, qui rassemble les groupes d'idols masculins Kitakore, THRIVE, MooNs et KiLLER KiNG. Le joueur y incarne un A&R, chargé de soutenir et d'encourager les quatorze membres dans leur quête de succès. L'histoire dévoile un passé mystérieux et des secrets cachés, alors que les idoles s'efforcent de réaliser leur rêve sur la plus grande scène du Japon, le Japan Dome.
Le titre mêle les genres de la simulation, de la musique et du visual novel. Il est disponible sur PC (Microsoft Windows), Android, iOS et Nintendo Switch. Développé par Love & Art et édité par MAGES., B-Project: Ryuusei Fantasia est proposé au prix de 49,99 euros.
L'accueil de la presse a été partagé : Siliconera a jugé le jeu idéal pour les connaisseurs de la série, tandis que Digitally Downloaded a estimé qu'il aurait gagné à s'inspirer d'une approche plus gestionnaire à la manière de Jack Jeanne.

« B-Project Ryusei Fantasia is one of those games that is ideal for what it is for those who are aware of B-Pro and the many projects tied to the series. If you “get” it, you’ll love how it handles things and the chance to more closely interact with your favorite characters. For those who aren’t aware of this Mages project, the entry barrier is pretty high! Not impossibly so. I think it feels like PQube was aware of this and released the demo so early ahead of launch as a result to help people prepare. For those who love the series, it’s a lot of fun. I do think people curious about it should give the free trial and anime a chance, as both would really help you when it comes to deciding to pick it up. »
« I can’t help but feel that B-Project: Ryuusei*Fantasia would have benefitted from an approach more like Jack Jeanne, with its “Princess Maker”-like daily management of activities to train the group, but as a straight-up visual novel, this checks all the boxes with colour and panache. It’s a good addition to the B-Project project by Mages, and good on PQube for localising something with as narrow interest in the West as this. »
