PC Games 90/100

« Anno 1800 is going back to the roots of the series but also manages to introduce exciting new features to the proven formula. The result is a building game that captivates for endless hours and challenges the player more and more with every new unlocked production cycle. »

XGN 90/100

« Anno 1800 keeps you busy. You will lost track of time while playing this epic city-builder. Don't play it if you hate games that ask a lot of your time. Play it if you have a plenty of time available to build the empire of your dreams. »

Game Revolution 90/100

« Anno 1800 is one of the most fun city-builders I’ve played in a long time. The construction of your city isn’t as complex as Cities: Skylines, but the complex supply and demand mechanics make Anno more action-packed than many combat oriented RTS games. You’ll constantly be juggling trade routes and worker types, and it all adds up to an incredibly rewarding experience. »

Softpedia 90/100

« I can’t recommend Anno 1800 enough. I was legitimately worried that Ubisoft might try to bring the entire franchise into the present, but I’m happy to say that my fears were unfounded. The game is a love letter to the old city-building games, while still managing to innovate and surprise even veteran players. »

Screen Rant 90/100

« This typical misstep aside, Anno 1800 is an otherwise excellent history-themed simulator that excels at drawing players into its satisfying gameplay loop and keeping them there. »

GameStar 89/100

« Rarely before has it been so hard for me in my game tester career, not to award a 90s rating. »

Ragequit.gr 89/100

« Streamlining done right, Anno 1800 is so addictive that it must remind you to take a stroll after some four hours of gameplay. Faithful to the Anno spirit, yet inventive, featuring a class system that offers many creative challenges. »

4P.de 88/100

« A visually beautiful and quite complex city-builder that doesn’t rely on its past alone, but adds quite a few new elements to the experience. »

« Deep, complex, and rewarding. Anno 1800 is a game you can find yourself losing hours at a time constructing your settlements, turning them into industrial powerhouses while expanding your influence across five different regions at the same time. It is graphically stunning in almost all aspects - it respects ultrawide resolutions (mostly) and performs beautifully on high end hardware. Despite my praise, ship combat is knee-deep and some quests such as the ones found on Enbesa, boil down to nothing more than a game of hide and seek. These quests were incredibly boring but they must be done to obtain the powerful Research Institute. Despite the occasional misstep (Ubisoft Connect) Anno 1800 regularly goes on sale for half-price, and at that price point I cannot recommend this game enough! »

RivaGe 8/10

« Super confusing, but it made the game stay interesting until the end. This is rare for city builders. »

Loukanikos 10/10

kretas 10/10

« I never enjoyed playing Anno before but this game really made the difference. It's smooth, great UI and really gets expansion done right. Multiplayer is fun too. »

Necato 9/10

« I am a big fan of the franchise in general. This game does a lots of things perfectly, others not so much. It is a bit too much stuff you can manage. I felt a lot of times overwhelmed, it is much harder to reach highest house evolution rank, even as a Franchise Veteran than in most other titles. The mechanic with the worlds felt not transparent in the beginning and it feels a little bit lackluster due to long and hard to measure travelling times between the two. In the end it is a great game tho. Absolute recommandation despite my criticism. »

JKaiya 7/10

« Mega confusing tutorial, nice game but rather play city skylines which has much more to do. I did really like using the boats, trading, and the ocean in general of this game where each "civilization" is its own island basically. However, for stuff to do on the island and to build up yoru city, it is pretty limited. And it doesnt help the tutorial such really hard and is mega confusing on wtf you are suppossed to do, making you wait around a lot cluelessly. If the tutorial was better I could've played longer but I got too tilted. »
