« It’s a different concept to have a mini-game that sets up your playthrough. You try your best to get what you need and can alter your experience with specific items. There’s a lot of decisions that impact your survival and it’s always a hit or miss. Such is life. While you’re in control of the decision making process you’re not always in control of the outcome. All in all, it’s a pretty well-made story with great dark humor. The biggest issue is longevity. There is a lot of replay value but it gets a bit tedious because you can survive and win, but the motivation to keep playing is only to see different endings and outcomes. It’s relatively short and you’re making quick decisions, usually just one per day followed by reading. It has some great ideas but it might not be something you play for more than a few hours. »

« Played in short bursts 60 Seconds! has enough charm and wit to make the end of the world at least seem like a bit of a laugh. Sadly, reality kicks in sooner or later and we realise that our luck can be snuffed out at any moment. When we die yet again due to factors we couldn’t control, it becomes harder and harder to muster up the will for one more go. »

« Good concept, but poor execution. It's a simplified version of This War of Mine with a focus on the story rather than survival elements. However, the story is boring and lacks variation. For example, you can kill the daughter or son, and the characters don't react or say anything at the end. The endings are also dull. I give it a score of 4, only because of its good art style and potential. With a better writer and an additional year of development, this game could become an interesting and diverse story-driven experience like Papers, Please. But as it stands, it's a game you can finish in 2-3 hours, and that's it. »

« 60 Seconds! is a Post-Apocalyptic Survival Narrative Decision game. This game really feels like two different games smashed together into one amalgamation. There are 4 game modes, sort of. Atomic Drill is a tutorial mode, to get you acquainted with the mechanics of the game and decision making. Apocalypse is the whole game, meshing the other two modes together. Scavenge is just the 60 seconds at the start of each playthrough. During this 60 seconds, you scramble to gather as many supplies, and family members, as you can and get them into the bunker as fast as possible. The Last mode, Survival, is the rest of a playthrough, where your family sits in the bunker, and you ration food and water, and react to different situations, or opt someone to go out and scavenge for more supplies. In the first 60 seconds, you amble around the house as the father, with clumsy controls, making this task even more complicated. The spawns of the items and your family are random, so there is no remembering where everything is, making each playthrough unfold differently. The Survival part is just stills of the family and bunker that change as the days pass. A lot of the game feels like it plays on chance, sometimes this feels unfair, but what's fair in a post-nuclear world? With nearly endless replay value due to its aextremely random nature !60 Seconds is a different but fun take on the survival genre. »
